December 12, 200718 yr Just taking this opportunity to have a plug for some fellow Kiwis. They're called Flight of the Conchords, was wondering if any of you have ever heard of them before. They've been getting fairly well known over in the states, and have even been nominated for a grammy. Here are some of my favourite songs of theirs, they are so funny, I'll let you be the judge, have a look; Jermaine is probably the funniest, he tends to have the biggest role in most of the songs.

December 12, 200718 yr I made a thread about them right before the first episode came out, and nobody knew about em. I've loved their stuff for a long time now, enough to buy their season 1 DVD. I just can't get enough of the show, although I like their standup even more.

December 19, 200718 yr Watched an episode on BBC4, thought it was dreadful. :( They're better when you just watch them play IMO, try looking for some youtube bids of them doing acoustic sessions. Yeah I like 'em, pretty funny.

July 26, 200817 yr Yep, I like them. The first time I saw the episodes I was drinking which made it pretty hilarious, then a few days after that I watched it all the way through. Funny stuff.

July 28, 200817 yr Yep, i like them too. I have to say though I prefer their live stuff that you see on youtube, etc. Their TV series, although pretty good, can be pretty bland at times as well.
July 28, 200817 yr What is with people and bumping really old threads recently? Already made my comment on them a few months ago, but since them I saw a movie with Jemaine in it--Eagle vs Shark. Has a pretty poor IMDB rating, but it's quickly become one of my favourite movies. :) Cool.
July 28, 200817 yr Hehe. I work at a summer camp as a counselor, and for our staff training talent show (we run the camp the same way we run it when there are kids there) two counselors played Jenny. It was fantastic, especially considering they're both male. I loved every bit of it. Being immature is a part of being mature.

August 2, 200817 yr I just bought their DVD about a month ago. Have watched it through about 3 times too. :mrgreen: My friend showed me it and now a fair few of my friends are really into them. Bowie's in Space has to be the best though. :lol:
