Kinda lame reward, and very short.

Can't put the Snowglobe in the Toy Box yet. And when you shake it it fills your inventory with snowballs.

the items pretty awesome but it was to short and i would love those weapons even if they were as bad as those free training swords you get from the tutors.

The event itself wasen't bad. It was really awesome to see snowmen fight.

 

 

 

But the items was a big disapointment. I don't see what we would do with a "Snow globe" after event....

Wish we could get the sword/bow/staff that the snowmen wore. Even if they stinked...

Boring event I think. But quite cool that you are able to make snowmen and have snowball fights at any time now with the globe :P

Lovely event, but only noobs rush straight away.

 

 

 

Whilst people are doing all that, I'll be mining in an empty guild, yes it's been empty for 40 min now.

Already a bug you can put the globe in the toy box but no option to get it out :lol:

you get a snow globe from the ice queen, and the emote after building your snowman.

I like the event. It was short, but not bad. Not bad at all. I hope this proves that we don't need silly hats every year.

It's irritating trying to build a snowman only to have some noob come and put the wrong hat/weapon on it.

 

 

 

Also, the KB article made it seem like snowballs could be used as a weapon in combat, but they can't. :^o

Both teams would have the equal amount of snowmen and then they would fight.

 

Healing would be a good thing, of course. :mrgreen:

 

Then whatever team would run out of snowmen first, would lose. (Cant make more tho)

An event like this has to be done at The Land of Snow. 'Cause there's no way to build a snowman that can fight outside. I've tried, the weapons just disappear once you leave The Land of Snow.

About the Holly Bow, Winter Staff and Ice Sword not being useable. Mod John A was getting bombarded by questions, comments and insults about this.

 

 

 

He said that "We can't give useful items as Xmas rewards so no weapons...". Now that would likely explain why the Rubber Chicken was the last item to alter stats in any way (although negative stats) and the Scythe was the last one to give any positive stats.

 

 

 

I can imagine Jagex has got a lot of messages about the Scythe over the years (not least when it first came out). But they could at least have given these weapons out without stat bonuses, Snowmen can wield them, they have inventory icons, so why couldn't the extra effort be put in to get them to be useable?

 

 

 

As one guy said to the mod, this Snowglobe will just be left in the bank and never used, like the Zombie Head.

Well, as the Event Guide says...

 

 

 

If you've had a fun time in the Land of Snow, perhaps it would be wise to go see the Queen of Snow and thank her. Who knows... it being Christmas, she may even have a little gift for you in return for your thanks. Something to bring snow all year round...

this looks awesome! Can you use this snowglobe after x-mas for infinte snowballs? If so it's awesome.........

I had fun, although i am envious of the Frost Robin Hood hats
