Give your reasons for hating Americans.

- Playing online games with Americans, get kicked for having high ping.

- Americans cussing out middle-eastern players, this happens alot more then you think.

- Americans feeling their way of spelling words takes priority over others.

- When I was registering for some games, "Sorry, this is not available in your region".

- They automatically assume their country is the middle of the universe.

- Laugh at others cultures and accents.

Sorry if this is a generalisation, but happens quite often. Sure, i've got quite a few american friends, but even more american enemies.

Wow you just made everyone who isn't american look bad.

4: Gossiping

5: Paying a $120 bill because your computer crashed, I tried to install a .msi file on a Vista computer. #-o

* People who release an autobiography, but have only been famous for like, 5 minutes... grrr

* Big Brother... what a load of ******* ****, complete and utter ****. I tried watching ten minutes once... I could physically feel my IQ drop about ten points in that short period.

* Commercials on TV.... especially when you're only a few minutes into the show, or only a few minutes from the end.

* Another TV one... "After the break"... "Before the break"... ffs, I know, I was just watching it!!!!

* Ant & Dec... I'm annoyed that you can become so rich by acting like a couple of [bleep]s lol

* Newpaper stories like "Man sentenced to five years for murder". Then two pages over... "Murder rates up 20%".... geez, it's obvious why!!!

* When a company posts "Profits down 5%, redundancies likely". Geez, you still made a huge freakin' profit... why do people have to lose their jobs?

* People who don't indicate!!! It's two freakin' inches from your god damn finger you lazy git!!!

* When I make a great post, but the next person completely ignores it... lol.

Well, duh. You're high ping is going to ruin the experience for everyone else -- that isn't their fault

- Americans cussing out middle-eastern players, this happens alot more then you think.

What? Just because some jerkoff cussed you out you think that most Americans are like that? Hell no.

ps: Every place has jerkoffs

- Americans feeling their way of spelling words takes priority over others.

Uhh... lol. Not only is this an incredibly small detail but of course, in America, the way we spell would take priority over others. I mean it only makes sense! If I were to be in another country of course I would at least try and adapt my spelling.

- When I was registering for some games, "Sorry, this is not available in your region".

Again not a fault of "big bad America". Games just simply are not available in other regions all the time, although I'd be interested in knowing which games gave you that problem. Funny enough it may not even be an American company!

- They automatically assume their country is the middle of the universe.

For the most part the U.S does have a good impact on the world, and their is no doubting that. Yes some people take it too literally (the world couldn't survive without us) but trust me, most Americans are level headed.

- Laugh at others cultures and accents.

I don't see this often except maybe in little kids. (which if you are playing games with than no wonder you hate America). America is pretty damn diverse as far as other cultures go, so trust me most of us are pretty tollerant of any culture.

Sorry if this is a generalisation, but happens quite often. Sure, i've got quite a few american friends, but even more american enemies.

How old are you, if I don't mind asking?

People who hate freshmen. It annoys me because sure, they're everywhere, but they're just students. Everyone was one at one period in time, and the whole point of high school is to quit being the passenger in life and to start driving. And that means not putting up with the [cabbage] those sorry-excuses-for-upperclassmen dish out. Rebel, all you freshmen out there.

You'll make fun of them once you're an upperclassmen, I can garrentee it. I mean I said the same thing my freshman year of high school, but heh some of them just need a good reality check. (They are used to thinking they own the place from middle school, a lot of the freshman in my school were damned annoying).

Great thread, just what I need at this moment.

What Grinds MY Gears?

1.) Dodgy weather knocking my terrestrial TV channels out. I dont have sky digital in my bedroom, and I live in a stupid little dip in town that cannot yet recieve freeview.

2.) Dodgy weather making my Broadband Modem Router go off for like a minute, when Im reading Tip.It, which then, in turn, causes the forum to reset itself and losing all the unread posts which I was about to read.

3.) The Dodgy UK weather which cannot make up its mind one way or the damned other. Please, weather clouds, your either going to snow for 2 hours solid or your not. Please do NOT snow for 5 minutes, Rain for ten, Have sunshine for 20, then, to top it all, give me hail for the rest of the day. I do NOT require all four seasons in one day - especially in the middle of may/june, and especially not, when Ive left the house on a brilliantly sunny day, without my jacket, only for me to get to the shops and it piddles down with rain.

4.) The teenagers of today who seem to think its cool and funny to stand outside supermarkets, bus stations and the like and intimidate and scare the elderly people. I know not all teenagers are like that, but there are a lot who are.

Mostly stupidity. People who are fine with being stupid are the worst.

To them I say: Don't you ever feel like you're living in a fog where nothing makes sense?? Stop spewing out the trash that someone or some company told you without questioning anything. Get a grip on your life, stop following your emotions everywhere. Stop watching trash TV programs about other peoples' lives without living one yourself. Haven't you ever wanted to achieve anything? To better yourself? You're dragging the world down.

For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns.

The time when the living and the dead exist as one.

No one really "hates freshmen" anymore, as evidenced by the sheer lack of real hazing going on nowadays [at least in my area]. Still, doesn't change the fact that they're annoying as frikkin' hell; as Nadril said, they're still in the 'elite, kings of the school' eight grade attitude when they arrive, and generally aren't all that mature to go with their elitism. So ya, they're just... really annoying.

And when you become a sophomore, you realize just how annoying you were as a freshman when experiencing the behavior of the new ones  . Which then prompts the general dislike of sophomores as well, as they pick on the freshmen a lot :-k .

Jeez, you guys have real different school atmospheres. In my school, the freshmen never act all 'elitist' like you all put it; hell, they tend to keep to themselves and not say anything to other upperclassmen unless they're friends with each other. They're still hated.

My opinion still stands. You guys must live in a much different environment than me.

In my opinion, elitism is when someone disparages other groups for something that they can't help. For example, rich people looking down on the "lower classes".

I'm not being elitist, because I think that anyone can be intelligent enough if they want to be (barring mental disorders). It's just having some self-belief and some motivation.

Rarely is there a time when anyone revels in being ugly, but many people seem to revel in stupidity.

Edit: I should add my reasoning why I think that ignorance is not bliss. You only get one life, so why go through it without understanding as much of it as you can? Stupidity is like a grey fog. Why go through life blind?

For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns.

The time when the living and the dead exist as one.

You know people that "revel in stupidity"? Sure, I know more than my share of people who don't have all that much of a desire to expand their mental capacity, but to say you've seen people that 'revel' in it? Gunna need some examples to explain that one :-s .

Rushrock, are you a freshman? 'Cuz it's pretty hard to put things into perspective when you're a freshman trying to defend them. Trust me, once get out of that year you realize that freshmen are among the most annoying things on the planet >.>

If you're not, ignore what I just said and we'll agree to disagree.
