January 15, 200818 yr With manage kingdom one of the best resources to get were maple logs. Now that maple logs won't even sell for 44gp each and seeds took such a huge dive...is it even worth it? Flax has gone up to nearly 80gp each, so you can still double your investment. When GE came out I switched to coal from flax, but then switched back to flax when it became more profitable.

If you use MTK, then the only reason for maples is to get nests and the seeds that can be found within the nests. Otherwise go with coal or flax. January 15, 200818 yr For those who wish to simply sell the logs, maples aren't worth it at this very moment, as they don't sell as quickly as flax and coal. If you intend to use these logs for fletching or firemaking, they are still the best bet.

But for what reason should people stop gathering them? More are collected then are used per day im sure. Also the demand was never really all that high for them before, dont expect it to get much higher. I mean honestly how can one person gather hundreds of thousands of maples logs in a years time and people expect prices to go back up to what they once were. January 15, 200818 yr Coal is definately the most profitable, but I'd suggest maples over flax... Flax is more profitable than coal. Flax has been selling for 85 each last time I checked, while coal has been selling for 162 each. Flax costs 40 gp each through Miscellania, coal costs 90. 50000/40 (number of flax) x 45 (profit per flax)= 56,250. 50000/90 (number of coal) x 72 (profit per coal)= 40,000. Flax is the best choice, with coal in second and all other items trailing by a significant margin.

January 15, 200818 yr Everyone is plonking 10 workers on maples atm to gather eggs for summoning irrespective of the price of maples. The seeds and nests along with profit from coal/flax means that you always make a profit from MTK, and walk away with free maples/flax, or seeds ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ take your pick.
January 15, 200818 yr I'm glad I sold my 88k maples when I did. Day grand exchange came out 72 each I believe, maybe over 7M from maples alone 8-) I made so much money that day infact, Believe I made 25M or so just from selling things in my bank I didn't need/use, it was great. I stopped all investment in the kingdom a while ago, don't really need any of the things I can get for it so I just left it.
January 15, 200818 yr Hey, i just realized.. I actually lose money if I have idle workers there :o sigh I have had max workers getting one thing and others idling while i have been trying to figure out what is most profitable one. So, for example coal.. I have got about 544 in one day for 75k. Meaning I get them for 138 ea (I am happy it is still lower than ge price). I am not going to do that anymore! Just side note, getting fish is pretty profitable too. And I have something to prove it. This is what I got in 3 days while favor was maxed: 1312 tunas 393 swordies 11 caskets-> loop keym 4 sapphires, 2 emeralds 7 sapphires 3 emeralds clue scroll (lvl1) (nothing good of it, though) ruby tooth half key It was worth about 331k with current ge prices. I used 225k for them, meaning that I still made 106k profit. For those who can only spend 50k there in a day it would have meant 75k more profit totaling up to 181k. It would mean about 60k profit per day. And everything was sold pretty quickly. And, mahogany is absolutely not worth getting :D 2 days (150k for me, otherwise 100k): 444 mahoganys 1 bird nest Mahogany is 146 ea. So I got 65k of them. I got papaya tree seed of nest (36k) It totaled to 101k. So I made about 40k loss in 2 days. Even without my own failing method it would have caused only 1k profit.

January 15, 200818 yr To some people its still worth it. Everybody is worried about market and making profit. I still collect maples usually have 7 or 8 workers...and than the rest on coal. Always keep 2 mil + and every 5 days get my approval up, until I collect. You can never have enough coal and I myself love farming so I need the maples for bird nest. I got over 50k maples and you know your eventually going to work on FM. so YES its still worth collecting maples. P.S I use to give 10k or more to friends just to help them with there fletching...can't do that anymore have about 60 bird's eggs...
