Sorry man, but your eyes aren't green. They are brown.

 

 

 

Even if there are bits of green there, it's nowhere near enough to warrent 'colour changing'. For that to happen you need to have eyes which are completely green or blue etc.

 

 

 

Also, tell your photographer to get your ears in focus, doesn't look great. In the picture above, your left ear looks ok blurred, but the right one needs to be in focus. Lose the pout, too.

 

 

 

Again, you're someone that knows nothing about headshots. They want to focus on your eyes, not your ears. 9 out of 10 times your ears are covered with a wig anyway, so it doesn't matter.

 

 

 

And furthermore the above headshot is of my face totally relaxed, at it's most calm and real state of being. Casting directors look for truth in someone, not fake. No one wants to see a fake performance OR a fake person. This is me without putting anything else into it. This is what they want in a headshot. NO one wants to see you trying hard. My lips are naturally pouty and to be honest I love everything about my appearence. No one else really looks exactly like me and I use that to my advantage. My look, personality onstage and hardworking etiquette are what book me jobs, and it's working out very well for me. So no, no thanks. I don't think I'll take your advice on "the pout," and no, I don't think I'll tell my photographer anything. Though you can. Her name is Alisia Packard and you can find her on facebook. Tell her you think her work stinks for all I care. She's making a hell lot of money doing it with or without your opinions.

 

 

 

And for the record, I'm ending all discussion about this now on my side of the stick. While it's really fun watching you guys have opinions and everything, I'm really not interested in the construstive criticism of tip it community members on my headshots. I just posted to get it indexed, really. lol. I'll care what the professionals paying me say about it.

My eyes are hazel, and let that be the first thing I say. Learn your eye colors.

 

 

 

I said it is one of the most influencial, not THE, and actually, you failed to see the meaning of anything I said with that. Media is the most powerful tool in the world. Information is passed on and lessons are taught through television shows, movies and pretty much everything you can watch on tv. Yes, this includes the news. Yes, this includes sports. You are a nitwit if you're going to deny that is true, and I'm sorry if you think that's harsh. The human mind can be warped by what people watch on tv. Maybe not yours, maybe not mine but a LOT of people. From the time we are children we watch children's shows and disney movies, which all fill our heads with the way the world is "supposed" to work and lessons on sharing and greed and love. Guess who does the voices of those cartoon characters? Actors. Sometimes very famous actors. More so nowadays since voice over acting is such a big thing right now.

 

 

 

My eyes may not say much to you, but then again what does your actual opinion matter? The only opinions that matter of those that are giving me the work I have right now, thanks.

 

 

 

Oh, and I am a character actor so my goofy appearance is accepted. This is my acting headshot, if you had taken the time to listen. It is for straight plays. For musicals I use a smiling headshot which I use more often because that is what I was trained to do. I'm not going to sit here and defend my training but I will say that what I know about showbusiness and what you know are lightyears apart. I actually have been taught under people who have won tony awards, drama desk awards and who have originated many roles on and off broadway. Successful people who so far have helped me to get my foot in the door, because they see I've got it. And that is all I need to know. Whether you think I'm attractive or not really doesn't concern me. But as long as we're going to throw some stones I'll just say you're no where near being attractive. Don't flatter yourself. You may have body mass but being a great model isn't so much about your body mass as it is your facial features and things that make you stick out from the rest. To me, you're nothing but a plain, average joe musclehead who's trying to hard to appear informed in issues he really knows nothing about.

If you want details, let me change my last statement: If your eyes have green popping out in them when you wear green shirts IRL, you broke rule 1 because there is definitely no green popping in your eyes in any pictures shown.

 

 

 

I never said YOU said that acting was the most influential business. It is definitely not one of the most influential businesses in the world. I listed like 20 more influential ones and could have gone on, especially when considering the backbone of every society being politics. Millions of children are raised each year without Disney or children's shows (even in the US) and I'm going to take a guess that they know "how the worlds works".

 

Was the world in mass chaos 50 years ago? I don't think we learned about the mass genocides committed from a lack of actors in my history class... maybe my school was just very sheltered, though?

 

 

 

This is all not to mention that almost all information is passed on and collected through text, where no acting or musicals are involved.

I mean there are, what, 20 categories of awards and it's been around for over 60 years, so it's really a select group, I surprised you were even within 100 miles of a Tony Award winner, tbh.

To me, you seem nothing like a little fairy musical boy who has convinced himself that he will be a mighty successful actor in life, but will probably end up as a theater teacher at a middle school. Apparently like 400 shops? Not sure.

 

But I've been and seen:

 

Uni Qlo, Topshop, Debenhams, M & S, Spaghetti House, Nandos, Blanco, New Look, House Of Fraser, GAP, Paperchase, River Island, Waitrose.

 

Those are the shops off the top of my head, but obviously, the list goes on. I like it because its really spacious, even with lots of people around. :thumbsup:

You can have your opinion, but honestly it's worth nothing unless you know what you're talking about. And unless you went to an acting or musical theatre school which teaches you about what a casting director looks for in a headshot, I don't think your opinion retains any water. That's all.

 

 

 

I'll leave you with this, and then I'm done debating with you on my headshot. Casting directors look for this:

 

 

 

1. Does it REALLY look like you? Is this what you will look like when you come into the audition? Yes. My headshot does this.

 

2. Have you chosen clothing to wear that flatters, but does not overpower you? Yeah, I'd say I did that. In fact, I chose colors that make the green in my eyes pop. Red and green do this, and if you've seen my musical headshot you'd know that too.

 

3. And finally, do you have a secret behind your eyes? You want to draw people into you and make it seem you know something they don't. It's about attraction. What will draw people to you? Clearly I've got something in my eyes that not only says I know something they don't, but also that shows I have an intense focus and will most likely be a hard worker.

 

 

 

Yes, there are more points to what a great headshot can have, but please, don't give me a lecture on what makes a great headshot when I've actually got a degree in the profession they are needed for.

 

 

 

Oh, and P.S. No need to quotate "the business." It is an actual business. Also happens to be one of the most influencial and powerful businesses in the world. Every time you turn on a television, pop in a movie, or go see a stage show, you're watching people in this business, and 9 out of 10 people will take something away from that and carry it into their normal lives. That's pretty influencial if you ask me. So no. No need to downsize it by mocking. Thanks.

Will Smith made the most money as an actor in 2008. He made $80 million.

 

Have you ever heard of Lawrence Ellison? Well he's an executive at Oracle (do you know what Oracle is?) and he made $550 million last year.

 

 

 

And that's just one other business. Here's some more that are more influential:

Seriously dude you need to get over yourself ("clearly I've got something.."). If you want to make it in "the business" you are going to need to take criticism frequently and without the opportunity to respond to it. You look like you are very young but then you have a crustache. Your ears are elf-like, your eyebrows need to be plucked, you need to gain weight, and you should go outside every once in a while. Did you just eat a sour warhead, too?
