June 20, 200818 yr Cannoning would be less pricey
June 21, 200818 yr Dragon Pickaxe would have the same effect as Dragon Axe over Rune axe, a small speed boost for ore mining. Given that it's one-ore-per-rock, you could probably be able to level to skill that much faster (because you waste less time per rock, and drop speed doesn't really change at all.). Although, personally, I'd love to see a pair of Dragon Claws. Claws are probably the most underpowered weapon in the game, and they already made a dragon version of darts (Sill Jagex, don't you know everyone uses KNIVES (well, I perfer darts over knives, ironicly.). Need a new signature....perhaps...
June 21, 200818 yr How many of you out there would mine after the axe came out? Not many of you because mining will not change, just the speed of boredom will increase. Until Jagex completely rebuilds the skill into a stable structure the axe will be useless. Runecrafting would remain a faster way of gaining money, so mining will be useless. If mining was more like woodcut in terms of how many ores are on a rock more people would turn to mining, but for now we will be left in boredom.
June 21, 200818 yr Dragon Pickaxe would let rich people awfully overpower other people while Mining. What chances does a Rune Pickaxe have against a Dragon one? While Mining, the rocks only give ONE ore, and the person who gets it would nearly always be the one with Dragon Pickaxe. This would probably result in some members moving to F2P worlds because in there they don't have to compete against Dragon Pickaxes. This results in F2P mining areas getting more and more crowded. In my opinion, Dragon Pickaxe = very bad idea. I hope Jagex doesn't add it into the game. Master of Attack ~ August 29th, 2010Proud to have served the awesome Tip.It Crew <3
June 21, 200818 yr Oh mark my words, there will definitely be a dragon pickaxe, and I will be happy about it when it comes. My money is that it'll be somewhere in the Red Axe storyline. I mean come on. Red Axe, duh. And of course it will require 61 mining to use, and it'll have some lame special attack like the dragon axe does. Incidentally, I'm also betting that the Soul Altar will come from the gnome storyline. Oh, and Duradel has dragon claws already; he just wears the rune claws for instructional purposes. June 21, 200818 yr it would be useless. ok, the 15% bonus of the hatchet makes alot of diffirence in the long run, but don't think you really notice it if you're just looking at the inventory. altough rune mining would get faster, more people will try it, so prices will go down ( slightly) ( i think) ... Drops : 3x zammy spear, 3x g maul, 1x d platelegs

Now that's a "made up percentage ftl". It's nowhere near 15% more. If it was, it would be awesome, and would probably cost over 10m today. The speed increase is so slight, that it's probably closer to one or two extra logs every hundred cut.
June 21, 200818 yr Probably? My guess would be it's probably the same increase over a rune axe that a rune axe is over an adamant axe. Would you want to use an addy axe instead of rune if you were getting 99 woodcutting? Because neither would I. It's not as if you can't resell the dragon axe afterwards. I'd apply the same principle to the pickaxe. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
June 22, 200818 yr Erm, no, a rune axe's difference in speed from an addy axe is quite a bit larger than rune-dragon. The speed with a D axe, is extremely close to rune.

I sure hope the special isn't as useless as the dragon wc axes, :?
June 22, 200818 yr Well.. it'd be another skill tool i wouldnt bother buying for a long time... and just speculation, but i'd assume the special would be something cool, like 25% drain, when mining, has a % chance to 1 hit your rock, depending on the mining level required and yours, and in addition a % chance of getting multiple ores from one rock.. or just one of those. if it has to do with combat.. then bleh, rune works fine and its only 15k.. Reverents can be a pain, but you can run away from them. Just curious, do they still have teleblocking ability?Fear the church, the reverents have 85 magic!!!!
June 22, 200818 yr It would be great for all miners and smelters. I would myself buy one directly, since it would go faster to mine with one of those. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
June 22, 200818 yr If the pickaxe was brought in, I think a lot of miners would be made a lot happier. I don't think it would affect it that badly though, because imo mining is a fairly un-popular skill.
June 22, 200818 yr I dont know if anyone else remember this but in the early years of RS2 jagex had actually designed the dragonpickaxe and had a picture of it on runescape highscores. They later removed it for some reason. #431 to get 99 Smith, #527 to get 99 Summoning
June 22, 200818 yr Yea.. I actually remember that. Wonder why they removed it :-s # 1825 to get 99 herblore and # 686 to get 120 herblore # 8330 to get 99 farming
June 22, 200818 yr I would like to see introduced as a new slayer monster drop say level 92 slayer new monster to fight above Dark Beast and no I don t have 92 slayer yet :o
June 22, 200818 yr i Think it would be great, i doubt it will change the market prices too much ,but probably there would be alot more 99 miners.
June 23, 200818 yr Compared to a lava titan...A dragon pickaxe would mean very little. Lava titan gives you 10 more mining lvls (a lot faster mining) #431 to get 99 Smith, #527 to get 99 Summoning
June 23, 200818 yr ^ but lava titan+ dragon pickaxe is ftw then :o ;) And Varrock 3 armour :D Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. June 23, 200818 yr Mining, (mabe second to herblore?) is got to be oneof the more unpopular skills. If a dragon pick-ace came out, I think it would put mor epeople on the skill, which Jagex, imo would want. Im sure they don't like that hardly anyone enjoys mining, and some people even dread it. I dont think it would change prices much, but a D pick would deffinitly be useful, and if its dropped by slayer, it would make slayers very happy.
June 24, 200818 yr it wouldnt be any different than the release of the d wc axe... Got my old account back!!! :D
June 24, 200818 yr It would be interesting to have a dragon picaxe. I doubt it would be from a quest though. Maybe a minigame. I don't think it would make mining that much easier, but it would help a hell of a lot for people going for 85+. ]
