I went to yahoo to check my e-mail, and on the front page there is an advertisement for the movie, which includes a trailer. The movie is coming out 8/01/08 in the U.S. and the other dates are unknown to me. Here is a Picture

Sorry if this is old news, but I just recently found out. The movie apparently stars Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, and in the previous movie's the actors who played Evelyn and Jonathan are now played by Maria Bello (Evelyn) and John Hannah (Jonathan).

 

 

 

What are your thoughts on the movie?

Is this the fourth or third, either way its 3 or 4 too many.

I enjoyed the other two, and this one looks pretty fun as well. Sure I'll end up seeing it whenever it is out.

He retired from those old Chinese kung fu movies. Not from acting in general.

Im too looking forward to the movie. Apparently its been in production for a long time. Im looking forward to seeing this movie, hope its as good as the first 2.

Looks cool, I always like the tongue-in-cheek humour of the Mummy series.

John Hannah definitely played Jonathan in the previous movies, not sure about Maria.

It's not the best movie, but I loved the first one. I wish they ended it there.

 

 

 

It was Rachel Weisz who played Eve. She looked so hot when she was wearing that Arabian garb in the first film

The 1st and 2nd movies were like two of my favorite movies as a kid.

Why isn't Rachel Weisz playing Evelyn? I wikied the movie and found that Oded Fehr (Ardeth Bay) won't be in this one and they'll have a new actor for Alex. His new actor is Luke Ford.

Movie failure for attempting to cast the same characters with different people. This isn't a TV serial, it just doesn't work that way :evil:

The fact that Jet Li's in it tells me there's going to be some fighting and it'll be awesome.Oh and Jet Li announced his retirement for Action Movies,I believe.So his appearance in Forbidden Kingdom was technically allowed (KungFu movie,I'd place it) and though its not out yet,I'd say this is the one where he would have lied =P

I loved the mummy and love Jet Li! Woot! Finally a movie to look forward to! All the other movies I looked forward to I ended up seeing the preview for and noticing how much suck it was.

liked the first one second one wasnt so hot and the scorpion king was garbage

Gotta agree with re4p3r1 on the whole "Mummy movies getting worse as they go", but I hope this one is better. The first one was one of my favorite movies.

Only saw #1, but I rather enjoyed it. And the previews for it showed a massive mummy-on-mummy war, definitely a must-see.

Yea, its on my movies to see list. Also on my list is Stepbrothers ( :lol: ) and Wall-E.

they shouldn't have made a sequel, it was better as a stand alone, honestly.

 

2nd one was very unorginal, but now they just aren't trying, i can already tell it fall flat on its arse when it comes to making money.

The first one was alright, it actually attempted to be a modern scary mummy movie. The sequel and this new one are just for action/comedy entertainment.

In my opinion, if they can't get all of the old actors, they shouldn't make a new movie. New actors usually just ruin it for me and contribute to the typical poor quality of a second/third/etc. movie. Nevertheless, I will be seeing the movie anyway just because I love the first too :P

John Hannah WAS Jonathan in the previous movies. So he is still the same actor. Only Evelyn has been changed (and Alex because he's grown up now, I think?) and Ardeth Bay just won't exist, which is a shame but makes sense because Imhotep won't be involved.

I won't be seeing this movie just because it in no way relates to the last 2 and is completely unneccesary.

Saw the movie tonight.. it wasn't great (I didn't expect it to be), but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I hated the new actress for Evelyn but other than that, it wasn't too bad. Of course it doesn't even compare to the first two, but I still enjoyed it.

I'm definitely passing up on this one :roll:
