Both torag and bandos have better range defence than verac.

I'd say so, prayer isn't a huge deal for soloing really. For a team trip I'd definitely take verac over torag though.

I think this guide is pretty good. Standard but very good - I used this guide to solo Bandos and look at my stats.

Anyone tried the new curses for solo bandos?

Deflect melee+leech defense+leech attack makes bork a lot easier, so surely adding leech range would help a lot too (10% less damage from the range attack).

I feel like solo'ing bandos now. Thanks for taking the time to write this guide.

The way I see it, solo Bandos (or any GWD boss) is more about fun than sustainable profit. Bring the overloads and brews. I'm not an expert on the subject by any means, but that's my two cents.

Don't bring all brews though. Even with restores, your stats will be normal quite a bit, unless you barely get hit. Maybe a mix of both may work. When I first tried overloads and brews, I brought 2 thirds brews other third rocktails, only got 3 kills, and that was barely. Whereas with just rocktails I got 2 to 3 kills per trip with just extremes. Maybe you have to tweak the ratio of brews to fish so that your stats aren't reduced too much, but I just find it easier to use a dose of overload, 4 doses sara brew (to recover hp and boost above max), and then super restore to restore stats quickly to normal level. I then wait until they get boosted to max, and just enter and fight as normal. I'd probably be better off using just extremes, but I feel stronger with overloads :razz:

 

I just don't find it too practical in soloing Bandos or Zamorak, because of the constant eating. At Saradomin soloing I find it pretty useful, as I can just take a few doses of brew every so often and almost always have max range. This allows me to use super prayer potions, and therefore extend my trips by quite a bit instead of using just super restores, which give at least 30 less prayer points per inventory spot. I haven't tried it at Armadyl though.

Would you reccomend piety, or leech atk/def/str? Or should I use leech curses in a team?

Unfortunately I can't give you my opinion on that because I don't have the prayers unlocked.

Usually just using food (rocktail/shark) and a super set with 2-3 prays you usually break even or profit a little. Its easier to profit when you can at least last 2 kills though.

Yes 1 maybe 2 kills per trip.

With turmoil and overloads, would whip + a shield work out better than a godsword, using claws for a special attack? Or would godsword still be superior?

I would say whip + defender/DFS is better than GS with overloads/extremes, I have actually been doing it today with claws

Should get 20-30 kills easy with this setup, for this with divines, expect 35-50 depending on whether or not you use claws or SGS (dragonstone (i) is the only thing to replace seers with, unless you don't mind another 25m risk using onyx)

GS is horrible, lasted barely 8 kills with SGS

People don't understand how easy soloing bandos is now after soul split and overloads, you'll average 20/hr, maybe 18/hr if you include banking and you should average any bandos item every 80 kills, so its like 4-5 hours for either 1m, 22m, 23m, or 26m (with a guaranteed extra 1m/hr from non bandos drops)

It's actually one of the fastest ways to make money through PVM, close if not the same as Tormented demons.
