Hey, I'm ranked in every single skill now! Woo hoo!

Wow, I think everyone will be in the hiscores now. I had 2 in there but now i have 10. Before, depending on the skill, You had to get a high level to get in there that takes some time to do. Now all you need is level 44 cooking! that is the easiest skill to get up if you fish everything. Runecrafting will let everyone in since if your non member there is any point of it since you don't get good money off of it.

Nice lie, runecrafting is incredible money in F2P, you just haven't been committed enough to get it up, on my pure I RC a lot and it's great money.

Airs. You star making a profit at 22 (3x), and then every ten levels your profit goes up.

 

 

 

OT: I had 5 skills unranked pre-update. Now they're all ranked. \ Still, it doesn't feel as good knowing that all my stats are ranked as it would have before. Ah well.

Ever found yourself close, but not close enough, to getting on a Hiscores table? That may change with this week's update, which doubles the number of ranks that can be viewed per skill or minigame. So, instead of viewing the top one million players in each category, you can expect the top two million.

Ah well, top 2 million just accomodates more players. If you're already top 100k or something, it's not going to affect you, is it?

But I did know it would happen. This is almost like the 'Report a Bug > Skill > Hunter' thing, before Hunter was even released.

The day my defense was last ranked was in 2006, when they last updated the highscores. I would never expect to see it ranked again, but here it is. Rank 1,785,000. Pretty amazing eh?

 

They should have kept it at 1,000,000.

 

why it was crazy how you had to have like 67 str just to be on them.

ha nothing changed for my ranks. I was ranked in everything but Hunter and Farming. And those were and still are below level 30.

finally my last skill is ranked...56 mining :thumbsup:

 

seeing as i hate the skill pleased to see it added to my scores without having to level it :wall:

 

this 2mil players thing does kind of kill prestige of high scores a bit though

 

but I never cared much for ranks in high scores so meh. :roll:

not really. even if you just got a few skills added with this update you could still get them above the 1m rank mark fairly quickly.

I don't see why so many people are complaining. I've never seen high scores as HIGH scores, just whether or not you can look up your skills without being ingame. I'm sure it'll be very useful to a lot of people who couldn't use calculators and stuff for their lower skills before.

well they are high scores from the point of view that it is a list ranking people for their accomplishments.

 

the thing about how people who are now on the highscores are able to use calcs, they could always just manually put their exp in.

I'm actually kind of mad. I like to work to my rankings. ALOT! I like spending time getting there and -trying- to get there. With the new highscores I now have all but 7 of my skills shown, and 4 of the 7 not shown need 3-7 lvls.

So you still have 7 skills to work on to get them all on the high scores. Couple of days work and you'll be away. :)

That's kind of the point, a couple's day work and what I've been working to for a while will be crap. : ( Then what will I work on? I'll have to stop playing again til it all unranks! ^.^

Or alternatively you can work on getting in the top 1,000,000 or 500,000 or 100,000 or even 50,000 or 10,000 and if you are feeling pretty hardcore try for 5,000 or 1,000.

I think it's pretty nice that now, I can view all my high-scores and compare them to my friend's high-scores. I mostly actually use it to compare to see if I'm doing better than my friends, not to get myself ranked.

You people are taking it too seriously. This isn't a "highscores" like the other games. This is a different one, and you are all freaking out because "zomgz it's not lyk those other gamezz!" Face it, it is the "high" scores. Maybe not "ultra-high" scores, but "high."

 

 

 

What else would you prefer them to be called, "Player Catelog"? It doesn't show everybody, only those with skills HIGHER than level 30, and in the top 2m in that skill. So really, by being on the "high" scores, you are beating out the other nearly 7 BILLION people in the world. I don't see how that's not "high." You people need to change your view of what the word "high" means, because it's not nearly as big as you think it is.

pffft i'd hardly call rank 2,000,000 as a high score. Why don't they just go the whole hog and show all stats whatever the rank *sigh*

If they really wanted to make it the "high" scores then they would make the req. much higher than just 30. It is just a place to look up other peoples stats.
