I definitely agree it should show ALL levels and ranks, even those at level 1 with no XP. As previously mentioned, all it does is mess up dynamic signatures and the like. They probably limit it at 1 million since an SQL query to retrieve 130 million records takes a lot more time than one to retrieve 1 million...

 

 

 

If not make highscores unlimited they should at least make a lookup feature OR make that hiscore_lite.ws page show everything, excluding ranks under 1m or 2m or whatever.

I remember when they moved it back to 1m. That still seems a little too high in my opinion.

I think its just a glitch with the new front page, Im sure they'll remove it soon enough.

2 weeks or more since last login (...they have it already, it says "You were last logged in x days ago from xxx.xxx.xxx"..) and you'd be (temporarily) taken off highscores - this would also make that many people would get ranked on highscores within 1mill. since I bet there's lots of people who quit/aren't playing at the moment who's ranked. and you'd get on asap you log in again :)

No, it still says 2 million.

You have to look at it this way also, with top 10k or 30k. Those same 10k people would be on there for all time if they continued to train. With top 2m there is room to improve, and it's not like the hiscores are used for bragging rights anyway, just for signatures and stat lookups.

 

 

 

If anything should be implemented it should be a RM type of list, which shows who grinded the most in a day, week period, month period.

I just don't see why they don't change it from hiscores to highscores and make it like top 100,000 players, so much better.

 

 

 

Then when you actually login you should be able to see all your friends stats and instead of saying "not ranked" it should say "xp to high scores".

I think 2m is just way too much. Its not that hard to get on even with 1m.

Expanding the Highscores to 2 million is totally unnecessary.

 

If they want to do something for those hard-to-get-ranked skills such as Strength or Woodcutting then why not divide the Highscores into F2P and P2P categories?

 

If an account is 100% F2P it would be listed on the F2P Highscores, and if an account is a current/former member it would be listed on the P2P Highscores.

 

The P2P Highscores would list all skills present in the game and the F2P Highscores would only list non-members skills.

 

I believe this could work.

 

 

 

That would encourage free players to remain free, and try to be at the top of those hiscores. A loss of potential customers is not something that Jagex wants. =|

Possibly a bug/glitch... However, to achieve mining/woodcutting/fishing in the highscores you need over level 60! That's pretty high, I think there should be a lower requirement for the highscores such as level 50/40 or a lower rank (2m).

 

It's unlikely to be a glitch, Runescape in in BETA atm, so many things are being added/removed. :

Ha ha my noob (100m x coins) with 51 ranged is on it :? Kinda makes hiscores a joke now, I spent like a few hours on it and I'm ranked that's not an achievement. :roll: they might as well go the whole hog and add everyone.

The day my defense was last ranked was in 2006, when they last updated the highscores. I would never expect to see it ranked again, but here it is. Rank 1,785,000. Pretty amazing eh?

You guys should stop thinking of "hi scores" as HIGH scores. Just because they changed it to 2million doesn't mean "hiscores is more of a joke now" or some garbage like that. Having 60 in a skill isn't really HIGH anyway. It's just a small way to distinguish people who've worked their skills or not. Get the skills 80+ and that's where it becomes high.

I remember when it went from top 500,000 to 1 million half of my skills at he time went on the board it was nice. Now that is at top 2 Million

 

all my scores now show up .and shouldn't fall off for a long time.
