July 17, 200817 yr Well, Alot of people have their own favourites & opinions, But, I want to debate upon whats the best moneymaking skill ingame. Post your comment now. ;) EDIT; For myself. I have to say fishing, While waiting for herbs to grow.
July 17, 200817 yr Mining of course. Money is gold. Did you know you can just mine gold out of the ground on some spots?
July 17, 200817 yr Runecrafting imo, even if it is boring as hell Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.
July 17, 200817 yr Mining. Mine gold and sell the ore. Mine other things and smelt and sell the final object. Mine gold and make bars and then jewlry and sell it. Or enchant it and sell it. Runecrafting makes lots but not untill level 30. Oh and btw mining rune ecence is easy and efective. In fact, I do have some pancake mix.
July 17, 200817 yr Mining of course. Money is gold. Did you know you can just mine gold out of the ground on some spots? But money is green! I see... Nats! Double nats! 2480+ total
July 17, 200817 yr For f2p players definitely woodcutting yews. My stats are updated weekly... Sometimes...
July 17, 200817 yr YEWS FTW i have to say a hate skilling to get money. id rther kill some green drags  =0
July 17, 200817 yr 1.) Runecrafting - Double nats 2.) Combat - Getting rare drops 3.) Farming - Farming herbs 4.) Hunter - Catching red chins 5.) Mining - Gold ore is decent money
July 18, 200817 yr Author More like a questionaire rather then a debate. I choose runecrafting\summoning. Not really, Since we debate. Runecrafting is getting weaker. And how can you even profit from Summoning? :o
July 18, 200817 yr More like a questionaire rather then a debate. I choose runecrafting\summoning. Not really, Since we debate. Runecrafting is getting weaker. And how can you even profit from Summoning? :o I agree that runecrafting is getting weaker. All the newbies heading to rune ess mines, flooding the whole economy with excess ess and waiting to sell. That said, double nats still makes some of the best money, even if it is no way near what it used to be. Summoning, on the other hand, can't direct;y make money, but has the power to influence every single skill you do. Take trying to get rare drops, a.k.a GWD. People take all kinds of summoning monsters there, and benefit greatly. You can use the much fabled terrorbird to help with nearly every thing that combines running, or more space (Green drags, plant pots, tanning and a million others which i'm too tired to think of) So thats my 2 cents.
July 18, 200817 yr RC and hunter spring to mind. As well as GWD. I'm also going to mention slayer, since nobody else did so far. It requires investing time and it lacks consistency (no fixed hourly income rate) and the combination of several different income 'systems'. But it can make you a load of gold, as well as training lots of skills. I'm not just talking about the rare drops (dragon boots, whips,...). The assigned slayer monsters are very often seed/herb droppers, and that's where some of the best money is these days. Farming herbs ftw. Not saying this to brag, but to provide some factual evidence: 99 slayer made me 140 mill cash, and I still have to clear out 5k high-level herbs, about 500 upper and high-level herb seeds (gonna farm them), all my gems (including more than 100 dragonstones) and some assorted dragon drops. Not including the cash I spent maintaining MTK all the while. Obviously, if you had spent every hour I slayed simply RC'ing/hunting/killing bosses, you'd have made more. But not only does it drive you mad, it makes you train just the one specific skill, which is often maxed anyway. To me, making money in RS, is inextricably linked to fun factor and getting skills up, since it's a game for a reason. So I always take that into account when looking for money. Slayer suited me perfectly :.
July 18, 200817 yr Combat skills I know a lot of people who have made 100's of millions of GP from going to GWD, including myself. In no other skill can you make close to that much money without going insane.
July 18, 200817 yr Runecrafting Level 44+ provides nice profits especially double nats =P~ Combat/Slayer With good drops (mixed with slayer) Farming Herbs Hunter Red chinchompas Mining Coal and Gold are constantly in demand Smithing Buying ores and selling bars those are my top 6, not in a particular order though only 2 skills below level 50 :)
July 19, 200817 yr i think pking. used to be staking but now its bhing. if u r lucky in one kill u can make over 1mil in high crater. lets say u get lucky more than once.
July 19, 200817 yr ^You all are basing runecrafting as the best skill on high levels. On upp-high (60-70) it stinks....only good 88+ imo. Not many get their rc that high either. I used to like mining, got real bored. Now I think the best moneymaking skill is farming (if your high). Farming is easier to 99 than runecrafting because once you learn how to go from farm to farm, it's quick and easy.
July 24, 200817 yr 1. Cut willows 2. fletch into unstrung longbows 3. high alch Doctors repeat themselves because they have nothing better to say......
July 24, 200817 yr IMO i reckon green dragons are very good cash. 300k+ an hour. So I have to say that combat skills are best money makers. RCing would be second for me. Goals achieved: lvl 99 Cooking, Fishing and Fletching.Surrey CC and Liverpool FC fan for life!
July 24, 200817 yr hm... Magic- Where would we be without HIGH ALCHEMY? Fishing- 400gp per monkfish, and it's pretty much pure profit Fletching- At the very least, you break even. Runecrafting- Even with nats as they are, it's great money. I'm not counting combats, they're a collection of skills, not just one. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
July 24, 200817 yr 1. Cut willows 2. fletch into unstrung longbows 3. high alch This is definitely wrong. You can high alch willow long(u) for only 192gp each. And by my estimates, double nats, hunting, and killing green drags make best money.
July 25, 200817 yr Runecrafting is by far my favourite. Of course, I'm biased, since it's also my favourite skill to train in the game. But seriously, even with natures at where they are now, it's still fantastic money, upwards of 300K per hour without a giant pouch or double natures. I'm only level 73. It's also not as deathly boring as some skills - at least in the Abyss you get the odd feeling of excitement when you get attacked by a revenant, and it requires some thinking when you get into the Abyss itself. Slayer is definitely the second. When you're on assignment, practically all of your monsters will drop you herbs and/or seeds, many of which will be high level. Also, the higher-level monsters have some really good drops, and if you get a couple of those, you're in the money. Even without any high-level drops, you can still make a fine profit. I mean, even fire giants are okay cash at lower Slayer levels, and you get them as an assignment quite frequently. Third comes high-level combat. God wars dungeon comes specifically to mind, but the Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon and Chaos Elemental are fantastic if you get lucky as well. You can make millions per hour with good drops, and they're also enjoyable. Where's the downside? There isn't one. Those are my top three. Being immature is a part of being mature.
July 25, 200817 yr Runecrafting Farming + Herby (If you combine the two, your profits may skyrocket) Mining (Granite, Gold, Addy or Rune) Ranging (Any kind of dragons) In the order.
