Well, I don't know how many of you remember my whole fiasco with Amy, but I have an... interesting end to the story. Basically, homecoming was a ton of fun, and the Tuesday after I asked her out (she wanted to see how homecoming went before committing to a relationship). She told me then that she liked me, but she didn't know if she wanted a boyfriend right now or not and that she'd get back to me. Well, after a week I decided to ask her if she'd made up her mind yet. She said no because she was "kinda with someone else," and she wanted to just be friends. Figures that this was the second time this happened out of the two girls I asked out xD. But anyways, I told her I didn't really mind (I don't know why, but the rejection really didn't suck nearly as much as the other time, and I was still in a good mood afterwards), and asked her who the other guy was. She then replied that she was a lesbian and the "someone else" was another girl.

 

...Lol, isn't that a story. My first date, kiss, and homecoming were all from a lesbian who was two grades above me, and she was the one who asked me out to homecoming xD. (I'm a sophomore and she's a senior in highschool, to those who may have forgotten). ...And of course, I can't relate the story to anyone I actually know due to her not publicly acknowledging her orientation. Guess I'll just tell them what she told me, that she didn't want a boyfriend right now. Still, Quite the story, I think, especially for what was a stereotypical introverted nerd last year xD.

True that, but there's really no way that if we break up we're going to just not fight. The last time we actually got back together because we realized how much fighing there was when we weren't. At this point though, I pretty much just want her out of my life so I can move on.

 

it sucks though, because she's friends with all of my friends (that happens when you date someone for a really long time in a serious manner). So even when she;s out of my life, she'll still have a direct influence on me basically no matter where I go.

The difference is that this girl, I've been dating for nearly 2 years. If you've seen me complain on this thread before, yes this is the same girl. Yes she does make me more happy than anything else in the world. Unfortunatly, she simply is terrible at being a girlfriend. We've broken up a few times before, and I've already told her that if we break up again, it's for good.

 

Problem is, even after ALL the crap she's done, I still want to be with her. But if this continues I'll defininetly break up with her, and that will be all she wrote. I'm not dealing with this kind of crap for the rest of my life. It's not happening. I plan on giving her a few months to show improvement, or she's out. My only concerns are Prom and Homecoming, as she's the only girl I've ever really talked to. But random social BS aside....

So I'm having a bit of trouble. The other night, I was at a party and one of my best friends told me shes liked me for years. She says she tries to, well, not like me in this way because she never thought I liked her back. Well, after hearing this I responded that I feel the exact same way about her (but mine actually makes sense, because she is one of the most popular and pretty girls in school, so why would she like me?). We ended up making out for the next while until everyone had to leave the hostess' house because her parents had come home. In the next couple hours most of the people from the party met up at a plaza and talked outside, however, this girl and I stayed in the car and held hands. So right now everything is just great - the girl i've liked for years likes me back (and i kissed her!). Now comes the bad part, my best friend also started to like this girl a couple months ago and told me about it. I didnt tell him i liked her aswell because i never thought anything would come of it. I guess the main thing im asking, as stupid as it may sound is how should i tell him what happened?

 

Though one, you knew your best friend was interested why didn't you say to him straight away that you were too. That would leave her to be anyone's game, this way he kind of warned you off her but you got with her anyway. This will most likely end up in a choice of Best friend or a GF. Try talking to your best friend and hope he is understanding but don't be surprised if he's pissed off at you. Say something like I found out x girl likes me and I like her too.

I hear you. I have the exact same problem. The trick is getting her out of your head enough that you can go for someone else. You also have a choice to make. You can either wait and hope she breaks up, or risk blowing your chance forever and become friends.

 

For me, I choose friends (partialy because I was with her alot for a couple days before finding out she had a boyfriend, so ignoreing her was not an option). Honestrly, the girl I found has such a great personality I would consider a lasting friendship a huge victory. Shes the kind of person I wish I had as a neighbor growing up.

 

Anyways, its probably gonna be a tough choice for you, but I think you should definatly be the one to make it. Becomeing friends dosn't always end dateing opportunities (unless you become really good friends, in which case neither of you would risk that friendship for a date), but it will set them back a ways.

Pardon me if I'm immoral, but can't you show sexual interest in someone who has a significant other? You could put it in joking terms, but I don't really feel like you have to submit to the other guy if she wants you more.
