Girl once screwed me over before and chose a lame guy over me, best friends both before and after until now, for a while she's liked me now, decided to give her second chance, got really close, etc etc etc...and here we are now. Basically, after her telling me how she couldn't imagine living without me, how much I mean to her, and all the memories, the kisses, the fun, I decided to ask her out. The thing? She just seemed completly 'meh' about it. Completely not caring. A total drop from like, a couple days ago. I figured she'd be really happy. Oh, but of course, in my life, things only get better. Days pass and we're a couple, and she just seems to care less and less, until today. My group of friends usually hangs out in town, so that's what we did. But she basically just ignored me the whole night. All the ILOVEYOU(SKILL)s are all gone from her phone, she went to talk to someone else while hanging with me, and when I tried to just simply reach out and hold her hand, she just pulled away. What?... Then, after we all were getting in our cars to head home, I had my closest friends wait for me to find her so I could do our usual hug/I love you thing. I find her, and I said "hey, where have you been? I've been waiting for like 15 minutes to say goodbye...". She says "Oh, well, goodbye, lol" and goes to talk to someone else.

 

Well, hmm. Lot of personal information I wouldn't really want to share. But I'm just kinda fed up with how ridiculous this is right now and I honestly don't care. Even this earlier apparent woo love each other so important we are so close yay relationship isn't going to work out for me. Awesome guys. :thumbup:

Ouch dude, I've been down that road. Not as far, but far enough to know that it hurts really bad. I just hope you don't get any long term repercussions like I did. Although noticing the fast it's happened so sudden, could she be experiencing her time of month? Another possibility is that something might have happened and now she is feeling down or depressed.

 

Talk to her about it, you could be worrying about nothing.

She's not in anyway spoiled, but she does have some daddy issues. Well, step-dad issues. Lots of low selfesteem. She's like a hugging fiend. But i do like her. In fact I just got back from a date with her. Wen rather well. We made-out by the harbour with sea breeze hitting us. Good stuff :thumbup:. She hasn't mentioned love since then, so I'm not gonna worry about it too much.

I have a few general questions.

 

 

First of all, is there an amount of time one should wait after having been dumped to get a new girlfriend? I'm assuming there isn't, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask while I'm here.

 

 

And now for the actual situation.

 

There is a girl I like (golly jee, really?), and I am seriously infatuated with her. I rarely put much thought into these matters, but I find myself thinking of her a lot. Finding excuses to be around her, and such. Call it a crush, or whatever, I'm asking her out.

 

Now, the problem is, I have the midterm for my AP class coming up. I know for a fact that for the following week I'll have to sacrifice most of my free time to studying. Yet part of me wants to ask her out anyways.

 

 

So, should I ask her out sooner, and have to then not pay enough attention to her, or should I wait a week, and start things normally?

 

 

 

(As for what she'll say, I'm fairly confident it'll be yes. Anyways, one should never go into something like this expecting failure.)

TTan, as Dan said, you're thinking too much. Next time you see her, walk up to her, look her in the eyes, and ask her out. If she's talking with someone, don't wait, interrupt them and ask if you can borrow her for a sec and don't give them the time to object.

Mmm. Being as busy as I am sucks so hard right now, girl-wise. There are a couple of girls I see at UIL rehearsals, though, and we've hung out a few times. One girl I do like - she has a boyfriend though, but that's never stopped me before. We've kissed and such, and that's probably enough to get my [wagon] kicked, but I'm a shameless gallivant anyways.

 

You know, looking back, I really kind of deserve to get my [wagon] kicked. Ah well. I'm pretty happy with it staying as it is.

A couple weeks ago I posted about how I was really beginning to like this girl because we connected so well. The problem was, she had a boyfriend. Now, she still has a boyfriend, but she told me they have been fighting a lot and it might end soon. So, heres the update: on Saturday, I went to a party and she was there. She was veryyyyy happy to see me and she was also very, very drunk (I was also drunk, but I can remember everything that happened, she couldnt - thats how drunk she was). So, right when I got there she ran up to me and hugged me. She brought me inside the house (full of like 75 people) and brought me downstairs to the DJ. She insisted I held her hand. She brought me to a couple chairs and we sat and talked for a while. A lot of flirting was done here, by the both of us. She told me that I am exactly like Seth from "The OC", if anyone has seen that show. The reason this is important is because in the past, girls have liked me for this reason. Right after she said that she gave me a peck on the cheek for no reason. After the peck, she grabbed my hand and brought me upstairs to have a cigarrette. We went upstairs and outside to the driveway and she insisted that we walk a couple houses down (possibly where no one could see us). Anyway, after we chatted more and smoked, she would keep talking to me and hugging me every couple of minutes. This didnt seem like a regular friend to friend hug though. After about 5 seconds she would just stare up into my eyes. I wasnt sure if she wanted me to kiss her or not, so I didnt. I didnt because if she actually wasnt signalling it, it would have went terribly wrong and I didnt want to risk it. Also, she has a boyfriend so that was another reason why I didnt. We talked a lot more and she told me her biggest secret which she said she has only told people she really trusts. After this, we went back into the party and kept chatting, again, she always grabbed my hand and held it whenever she could and would continue this staring-into-my-eyes-hugs. After the party finished, we went our seperate ways. However, I ended up walking over to a pizza place and saw her there with her friend (I was also with my buddy). She came running up to me and again, we sat at a park and continued these hugs and holding of the hands. I really tried to lay off of them though because another couple of friends came who were tight with her boyfriend so I didnt want to start any drama.

 

The bad thing is, she was super drunk. We have all told her what happened during the night but I left out details such as she always held my hand and hugged me, it would be weird to tell her she was doing that, right? Also, I didnt want to tell her she told me her big secret, because it is quite a big event that probably traumatized her for a while and I didnt want her to worry that one more person knows. I'll probably continue trying to hang out with her a lot and keep talking to her, but I wont interfere with her relationship with her boyfriend because I think it is headed to an end anyway. If they do actually break up, I dont think I would ask her out for at least a month because I dont know if she would want to go from a relationship she had been in for 2 years right into another one. Although, I will actually hook up with her if I think she is signalling it.

 

I guess a question is how long should I wait to ask her out if they do break up, is a month good? Also, if it counts, we are both 17 and in our final year of high school.

This has pretty much happened to me a couple of times now, once with a girl I didn't know and once with a really good friend that likes me but I'm not looking for a girlfriend right now. I guess there's something about drunk chics and telling secrets.

I could tell it was a dream from right when you said "for some reason the floor was slippery and I kept falling." That just doesn't happen.

Well, the dream caused me enough longing to overwhelm my natural cowardice.

 

I didn't ask her out at the beginning of the day, as I never saw an opportunity, or throughout the day, either. However, I'd already vowed to myself that I would ask her out.

 

So, when school ended, I raced from my class to my locker to her locker. Her omnipresent friend, was, luckily, busy at her own locker.

 

I took the bull by the horns, albeit nervously.

 

 

"Hey"

"Oh, hi!"

"Want to mumble mumble mumble?"

"What?"

*Breathes deeply* "Want to go out with me?"

"Yes"

 

I was grinning during chess club, and won both of my matches.

 

Today ruled.

 

 

EDIT: And yeah, I know you shouldn't kiss a girl right after you ask her out, but this was a dream.

 

It's a tribute to my innocence that all I did was kiss her and hold her for a bit.
