If you mean RS relationships, I've known of plenty. I've seen two people actually get married after meeting through RS.

There are plenty of "serious" girls on RuneScape.. I'd like to consider myself to be one of them :P They're just harder to find since I'm sure majority of the players are quite young (early teens and below).

Define 'plenty'.

 

Point is, it just doesn't work for the majority of people. Either travel costs are too high, or it suffers from a lack of physical contact, or they might even get bored of RuneScape so the premise of the relationship falls apart.

 

If you want a girlfriend, then you might just maybe find one on RuneScape. But let's not do this Internet thing of pretending only an ignorant minority of people do it the 'normal' way. The vast majority of people, including RS players, find their partners through real life connections.

Right, I'm not disagreeing with that. Just pointing out there there are relationships on RS, quite a few if you count ones that aren't really super serious. I, personally, think they're rather trivial and that someone should focus more on their real life relationships if they're looking for one that will grow into something more.

Things are going well with me. I'm actually pretty excited because I'm not checking my phone every instance in hopes of a text from her. I've found lots of stuff to distract me from thinking of her (I confess, one of those distractions is this forum). And I'm getting better at it. :thumbup:

Psycho ex is now entirely out of the picture once and for all after her annoyingly trying to get me back (she cheated on me and dumped me over facebook, I don't want that back). Now, I gotta get out and meet girls, how can I boost my confidence?

I have posted here every so often and you guys have been absolutely fantastic and answering questions and giving advice.

 

So yeahs this is a kinda mini-progress report with an added few questions for whan I am back at uni.

 

First of all, crazy ex is right out of the picture now, I'm fully over her so that is all good.

Crazy pshyco girl that I really liked is gone out of my life too... I decided to do the decent thing in the end and told her boyfriend exactly what she had done. So that's a weight off my mind.

 

However, there was a third girl, that I never really actually mentioned to anybody on here. There was this woman who I really really liked during the period of my relationship, needless to say in the end things with this woman went down the swanny, and I had busied myself with alcohol and working myself to the bone at uni to try and keep her off my mind. Now that I am home, with no girlfriend, this forum, and my 12,000 word dissertation my thoughts have been lapsing and going through memories years old between me and my ex, or me and this girl. And I find myself, again, drawn to her; however, she has been in a relationship since February and also doesn't talk to me much at all now... So I was wondering what I should do with concerns to this, primarily because I'm really missing her and kinda wana find out if she feels the same about me.

 

Also with this third year of uni coming up I'm kinda bored of being single (my uni isn't that big so it's difficult to sleep around etc otherwise you'll make a name for yourself); however, I've decided that this year I wana try and see if I can get something working with someone, a relationship etc... So I was wondering what you guys would suggest about trying to flirt etc (haven't had much practice) and how exactly to pick up girls etc... It's kinda embarrassing that I'm 20 now and have only ever had one serious relationship, one one night stand etc... So yeahs... I guess the crux is basically - pick up tips really and ideas on how to boost confidence.

I'd say it varies from person to person. I have a much stronger emotional attachment and connection to my boyfriend than I do to my friends.

You know how when it rains, it floods? That's what it feels like atm. I kinda of have a thing with a girl at the moment, beening seeing each other a bit recently, well that's a bit of an understatement but anyway. Another girl who I'd been putting a bit of spadework in with likes me now.

Just talking to her on facebook now, we're both at the uni library, not sitting near each other, but I said I was hungry and told me to bring me some food. Anyway some flirting later (eg: What's in it for me ;)) I notice her status has changed to "I capital L like you", as a not so subtle message.

Duff, if you were trying to attract her then telling her that you do nothing during the day wasn't' helpful. As a general rule, be having more fun than she is when you text.

 

Hakaan I feel much closer to my girlfriend than I do with my other friends, and it means I always have someone. The downside being that it's easy to get used to and you miss it when it's gone.

 

Jeff, I don't see a problem. why can't you flirt with more than 1 girl? Why can't you date more than one either? If you frame it properly and be honest then chances are both will be fine with it.
