I DID suffer from depression a couple of years ago. Pills don't help, honestly. Join the Tip.It IRC chat. They're a fun group to chat to. I'm in there 24/7 with the screenname "Hiroki", and I'm never too busy to help. The best advice I can give right now is, you'll get over it. However bad your life may seem, there are people in the world with problems a thousand times larger than yours. Feeling sorry for yourself is selfish. When you feel depressed, go donate to a charity, preferably a non-profit organisation.

It's impossible for me, of course, to know precisely how bad you feel now, but chances are you'll be over it in a week or two. Something like that happened to me, I pretty much stayed up all night staring at the wall with tears in my eyes. Anyways, do what makes you happy normally, don't go out of your way to think about what happened if it's going to make you unhappy.

Don't get yourself wrapped up in it too much. I know you will be feeling bad because you can't go out with a girl that you really like, but there are other girls out there. Don't let one person stop you from living your life, and making you feel bad.

 

If you are still feeling bad, then go chill with some mates, do some exercise, listen too good music, or talk to somebody you trust about all this.

Just think about what you're going to say. You can make a 'jokesypoo' once in a while still, just not too much.

 

I don't know why, but I associate being cynical with having bags under your eyes. Always.

Eh, I don't think about what I say (or type) most of the time. That's why my friends associate me with stupid jokes and wierd [cabbage], even though I'm the one they ask for homework help. I can memorize facts kinda well. But, yeah, doing that gets me into sticky situations pretty often. But I don't much care. Nothing that bad's happened.

You're not out of the picture all together. She sounds like the type of female who has her heard screwed on straight but has a big of an ego problem. Talk to her about her future, her plans, what she wants to do, get close to her and you're still in for a shot.

You have an intelligent girl, who you could be fantastic friends with. You can run away and feel sorry for yourself with the "poor me" syndrome you're pulling. Or get over yourself, talk to her and at least make a friend with someone whose head is where it should be. Deal with your own insecurities and stop projecting them on to other people. If you think you're not attractive then deal with that issue, don't try to pin it on someone else.

Get a hold of yourself! Talk to her at some point. Don't just ignore her completely just because she said no to you, that is the worst thing you can do. If you like her that much, you should be happy to be friends with her. Just because you aren't going out doesn't mean it is over.

 

Could be, that she made up he rmind, but chances are it wasn't. And don't think like that (That you are ugly, w/e). That is the worst thing to do. You are over reacting. Her reason was that she doesn't want a boy friend, not because she doesn't think you are attractive. Who knows, if you become really good friends, then she might change her mind, and all could work out for the best.
