"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice

Just got back from one of the worst first dates ever :lol:

 

 

She wasn't super hot in her profile pictures but she seemed cute. I gave her benefit of the doubt that maybe she's just not very photogenic. I was wrong.

 

Scheduled a date w/ her tonight at 6pm at my favorite first date location... usually I try to wait until 8pm to meet up here since the best place to sit is outside and it's still really hot out until nighttime (like 90F degrees). But in this instance I already had a girl lined up for 8pm so I said [bleep] it let's try 6pm and see what happens. Big mistake :lol:

 

I walk to the coffee shop since I live down the street... after 5 minutes of walking I'm already drenched in sweat because it's so hot out and I'm wearing jeans (ffffffuuuuuuuu). I arrive, order a beer, and see her sitting down inside... she's a lot heavier than her profile pics and she's not wearing any makeup. Ffffffuuuuuu

 

I suggest we go sit outside (at the ideal place to sit where kino'ing is easiest). As soon as we sit outside, I realize I've made a terrible mistake. Besides the fact that it's 90 degrees outside, the sun is shining directly at us right in our faces so I can't even make eye contact w/ her without getting the sun in my eyes. I try to make it work for a few minutes till finally I'm like "let's go sit somewhere else." So I go to the plan B location, which is also outside, and I sit such that the sun isn't in my eyes anymore... but now it's in her eyes and she looks miserable because she's sitting with her hand shielding her eyes for the next 20 minutes. On top of this is the fact that I'm pretty apathetic about making any moves or trying to get to know her since I'm not attracted to her, so there's a lot of silences and breaks in the conversation where I make no effort to keep the conversation flowing >_>

 

Eventually she starts complaining about the sun and I'm like "ok let's go inside then." We go inside, sit down, and then I realize it's only been about 30 minutes. I just sit in silence awkwardly, not really bothering to come up with questions to ask her, and finally she just goes "So how are you feeling right now? Are you feeling anything?" I was kinda stymied by her bluntness but I just said "I'm kind of bored." She's says, "Yeah I'm not really feeling anything between us." I say, "Yeah let's leave." I enjoyed the irony of the only thing we really clicked on was our agreement to go our separate ways :lol: I also really appreciate her honesty and straightforwardness. A lot of girls don't have the courage to do that so they'll be like "OMG i just got a text from my 3rd cousin's wife's brother's step-niece's great aunt twice removed! she's been in a car accident I've gotta go! was nice meeting you bye!"

 

Oh well, got another date at the same location w/ a hot girl in about an hour. The sun will no longer be cockblocking me by then :)

Hasn't it happened that you have ran into someone while there? A later date coming earlier or the first date going on longer?

 

I mean, I don't know where you live at, but with a lifestyle like yours in a smallish town or even city, it would make drama.

I know I can't do anything like that. I know a ridiculous amount of people in this town through all kinds of organisations and stuff and I can't move a single finger without hearing about it from a different source.

Then again, I pretty much always know what is up, so it is kind of a double-edged sword...

Naw that's never happened. Though I think it'd be a pretty funny story if it ever happened so I don't worry about it :P

 

I set my dates at 90-120 minute intervals and keep them down to 60 mins tops. So one date would have to somehow run 30 minutes longer than normal, while the next date arrives 30 minutes early

So this girl I know from a club I'm in at school just got out of a 2.5 year relationship. I've known her for about 2 years, we've gotten along but never really were super close or anything. Started hanging out a little bit at the end of last year but then we stopped talking when I left for california.

 

Anyways, she's always been pretty cute and now that she's single I figured I'd take a shot. I've hung out with her a couple times since the breakup and it's been a lot of fun even if nothing's happened in that sense. I've been holding off on trying anything like that because she keeps talking about how she isn't ready for anything else  because of how recent the breakup was - she's kind of introverted and it was her first relationship. She keeps asking me to hang out though. tonight she asked me to come by there around 10 pm to study. I picked her up from some event for our club and went back to her place with her. No studying actually happened, nor did anything sexual, but it was still fun and she said at the end that we would be hanging out a lot now. We also have to hold office hours for our club as we're both officers in it, and she told me today that she moved hers to be at the same time as mine for the rest of the semester.

 

Basically I have no idea if I'm super friendzoned or if she's super interested in me lmfao. She's been fine with me touching her so far though (again just natural stuff conversational stuff, her shoulders/back, a bit of play wrestling tonight, nothing crazy though) and it's always fun hanging out with her so I guess I'll just keep taking it slow and see where this goes haha. Still feels good and I'm a lot more optimistic about this than most of the other girls I've posted about here.

I just got back from abroad this Friday and have been at my place for 2 days now. It was great, what we had back then and I thought it would go on, but apparently she was on a date with another yesterday, knowing that I was back.

We haven't seen each other yet.

 

All logic tells me to forget about her, but I still think about her.

Might be cause I haven't seen a girl since 26th of June, the same day I left the country and we spent the last night together...

If you haven't talked to her AT ALL during your absence just shoot her a text and ask her to meet up. Worst case scenario is she tells you she's seeing someone else, you get closure and move on

The problem is, I did talk.

I talked to pretty much everyone I know, cause it is hard in solitude.

I didn't talk with her too often though, like once a week maybe.

 

And I did talk to her on Saturday, when I had gotten home and wanted to make plans for the next few days and that's when I heard she was on a date.

But she did still want to meet up aswell, some time later.

 

And, that organizational stuff means that I am pretty much guaranteed to see her at least once this week anyways.

As I said, I am fairly certainly gonna see her on Wednesday or Thursday aswell, so I don't really need to ask her out per se.

In the meantime, I have started tweaking my training regime to get more results, and visible ones.

Shaved myself for the first time since February (I had a pretty nice beard though, and I trimmed with haircutter a few times) and got 2 new suits and some more proper classy attire.

The day before yesterday, well, did have something, got my lips bitten bloody from the furious making out.

Also went on a date yesterday which went so and so and when we met again at the evening, she told me it is done.

 

It hurt that badly because the night before ended on so high notes.

All feelings and stuff came back.
