By the way - you're a student, aren't you? What college do you go to? Apparently I have to research some. I yearn for the end of school. I try to make the best of it, but I hate school so much. I like my friends, because they have similar attitudes as me, but, whatever. I have pot roast and music. Life is plenty good. I liked Houston. Really big difference between here and there. I was wearing shorts, there was no wind ... Now I'm in a coat and have to fix our fence tomorrow. Ahh. By the way - you're a student, aren't you? What college do you go to? Apparently I have to research some. I go to a small liberal arts college in NC (UNCA). Now that I'm in my sophomore year and know my majors (math and economics) I wish I had gone to a research university. I think I'll get a good bit from this school, but a research university would have provided more opportunities like seminars and better undergrad research, not to mention a slightly better reputation for when I apply to grad school. However, I think it'll work out just fine anyways since I'm not going to be some top, nobel prize winning researcher. NC has some great schools though, and they're really cheap! Even for out-of-state folk, it's not too bad (I want to $17k compared to $11k in state). Do you have any ideas for what you want to study? IGoddessI Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Relationship counselling last night was good, she's a hypnotherapist. So we'll soon see if it was worth it. Nothing much happening today, just spent the morning with my grandpa in law. I am excited about tonight though get to personally speak to "the" Mal Sword, author, successful business man and multi millionaire. Oh and having dinner with our mate Murray, he just came back for a week from East Timor (army). The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. I had to point out a few wrong facts here and there, but decided to remain silent for the majority of the time and finish my dinner. Won't be having a meal with them again anytime soon. I found an awesome database in English that has a LOT of information on the history of music, and more importantly, renaissance-era music. I'll definitely be reading up on that this weekend :D Also got an 84 on an algebra 2 quiz, which was nice. When I got home I studied some music theory and finished up homework, that's really it. Then at Tafe it was boring, the teacher yelled at me because I picked up a piece of paper that everyone else had (I arrived late and didn't realise I had to do some basic thing on the computer first) for taking it off her 'desk', which was just a section of where the computers are. Then for the communications section some of the people complained that me and my friends were being loud, so then one of them was practically yelling at us asking why we were here (one of my friends answered "to do the course" and we laughed) then he asked why we were here, he said because he wanted and me and my friend told him because they wouldn't let us do the higher couse, even though we know who to do EVERYTHING that will be in the course we are doing now -.- Steam | PM me for BBM PIN Nine naked men is a technological achievement. And a bunch of stupid people from the YMCA came to talk to our school because some kid had a gun a couple weeks back. The YMCA people were really really stupid. and whiny. and pushy. A kid in my english class was trying to look cool when he got kicked out one class, so he started climbing on the desks, and he stood on the edge of the last desk in front of the door, and it toppled over, and he faceplanted into the door. I haven't had this much time apart from her since she went to America and even then we emailed almost every day. But no, she comes on with her boyfriend! #-o I'm not really supposed to be jealous of my best friend's boyfriend and I've been the one telling her she needs to get in real life rather than sticking to the internet and talking to me. Now she HAS a social life it's so annoying because she barely talks to me anymore. #-o Other than that I tidied my room today :o , got in some DDR practice, did my homework for next week and organised my Star Trek video collection. Half day of school and my last class (AP Chem which i take with six other girls, i'm the only guy), the girls arm wrestled each other. So a couple of my female friends went out on a mission to get someone for me to dance with, and I swear, they pick the most gorgeous, popular girl there as the one to ask. :wall: Not that I'm against gorgeous popular girls, but I wouldn't quite say I'm a handsome popular guy. Ah, well. It was fun goofing around and seeing friends though. Oh yeah, at every dance they are apparently intent on selling glowsticks. We all had a ton in common and had a great day, bbq dinner, a few shots and good laughs. Then went grocery shopping. Yum hotdogs... bye lunch time!
