Iamdan
I went from being a skinny gamer with social anxiety who couldn't hold a conversation to making massive progresses in my success with women, got an amazing job and career for life, amazing girl and I'm making gains in the gym I'm really happy with and I'm nobody special. I'm basically stress free, I've got big plans and only going up from here. Why can't you? Instead of stressing, figure out how to solve your issues. If you had timed your stay in Brisbane to the free fork ticket you would be in brissy on $1000 a week by now. If you didn't like the job you would be finding a better one while you worked. Noxx
Booked my Plane-ticket today. Leaving on the 23rd of October. I'm pretty excited. Doha - Heathrow - Miami - Orlando. Going to be a long flight :\ I think Miami to Orlando might be 1st class. Excited about that because i've never traveled 1st class. Most airlines don't offer 1st class anymore.Only sucky part is that i'll be spending my 21st in the USA, either with people i've only known for a week or alone.Derp. You (Tim) should try meditating and reading some Zen literature (Ryokan is a favourite of mine, see Amazon for some cheap books of his). Meditating does work, but you'll also need to understand the context and ritualism for it to be anything more than pretense and placebo. Edit: If you think you're up for some heavy reading, try Huang Po's teachings on the Transmission of Mind. Zierro
Drugs could actually worsen his issues.Especially if it's anxiety problems. Yeah, just one of those things where your mileage may vary. I know of an old guy who used to be a raging alcoholic and would always have some sort of lesson to teach if anybody did so much as stick a toe out of line - he transitioned over to marijuana and now he's the most laid back old guy I know. On the other hand, I've met some who just can't cope with mind-altering effects at all - it would just serve as a catalyst for mischief and drama. My apologies for suggesting such a gamble. H2PM
It's okay. Personally I think you should know what affects you and how. So the option is still a viable one. Nomrombom
Do you smoke weed? If not, try it on a weekend/vacation. I wouldn't do it during the school week in case it affects your brain function too much (you feel pretty stupid, like everything is "thicker" for a little while after smoking). PhaperPlane
I've been doing some more events today around Cambridge! Collected my student discount card, dropped some forms in about accommodation and then visited Cambridge University Botanic Gardens with some others as a freshers event. It's seriously beautiful, hundreds of different plants and trees from all around the world. If you have the opportunity to go, don't miss it! Also, I found out today that if I can convince my Personal Tutor that I need to do some extra reading around a particular subject which I need for a module they can give me access to Cambridge University Library. Once I get a camera, I'll post some pictures of Cambridge.

RpgGamer
Bat your eyes girl, seduce a stranger. Oh hai Bows. where's the pretty girl in your sig? @Tim I can't believe these people are telling you to use drugs to compensate with your self-proclaimed less-than-spectacular traits. If you're really determined to change for the better, get yourself out there and through caution to the wind. Talk to strangers, tell stories, eat healthier, exercise, get people together to play sports, start a protest against something...or just make [cabbage] in a workshop [i've learned this is quite fun] Get cultured as long as you're not able to make bank Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. H2PM
It's just a choice you know, and it's helped some people as posted before. But go with RPG's suggestion, since it's the healthier and safer way to help your social issues. Oh and another thing, wisely choose your friends. If you can't go to your friends for help with anything, I myself wouldn't regard them as friends.
