November 12, 201114 yr my [...recorded] voice makes me cringe. ahar, same here. though people do tell me i sound fairly deep and mellow. i think there's a specific scientific reason about why we hear differences in our thinking voice etc, will have to find that.I think its because your recorded voice sounds close enough to what you normally hear that you recognise it as yours, but at the same time it doesn't sound like the voice you've been hearing coming from your own mouth your entire life, and you find it creepy/disturbing. I've never really enjoyed hearing my own voice, except when its done live through a microphone. As long as I can hear *my* voice, it doesn't matter if I am hearing the electronic version too.
