The way I see it, people will make their own decisions, no matter what I think about them. Unfortunately some people do pay negative consequences for their actions. So I'm not passing judgement, but if someone posts saying that they got AIDS or got some random chick pregnant because they were drunk, I will laugh my ass off.

Well, I'm still not very fond of homosexuals, but my eyes have opened by a bit since then. I had the opportunity to work and live with a gay guy this summer, and he was a pretty cool guy. I'm fine with gays for the most part as long as they aren't complete flamers....

Doesn't like alcohol, only seen bad experiences with alcohol, alcohol is bad.

Half of my family drinks and are alcoholics, but the other half doesn't even touch alcohol. My first problem is that I will have almost no natural tolerance to the alcohol itself, and I would get drunk off my ass from just a can of beer. If I do start drinking regularly, chances are I will become an alcoholic too, its in my genes. But most importantly, I don't like the taste of it. I've had small tastes of a variety of stuff here and there, but none of it appeals to me. Why waste my money on something that doesn't taste good?

It's funny, 2 years ago I didn't smoke or drink for virtually the same reason. I have a family history of hardcore smokers, and mild alcoholism.

If you ever do decide to try it, even just for one night and not make a habit out of it, I suggest maybe trying Mike's Hard Lemonade if you haven't before. I drink it when I'm not in the mood for beer and you can't even tell that it has alcohol in it. It goes down easy and tastes pretty decent. Only problem is I have to drink a 6 pack to get a bit past tipsy and it leaves me feeling bloated and having to take a piss every twenty minutes haha.

Honestly, from what I've seen, people who have problems with alcohol almost always have some other problem that accentuates it. It's entirely possible to enjoy alcohol in moderation with no negative consequences. That said, that does depend on the individual. If you feel your life is better without alcohol, that's your choice and at least you're making it with good intentions. Hopefully it helps.
