Meh, I've given up =P I've been alone for 16 years but at least I'm physically healthy ^^ I've accepted the fact that people don't like me and I'm just going to move on in life... thanks for the advice though ;D

No, don't accept that. Make the effort, find people with your interests, enjoy life. I used to think the same; I blocked out everyone who tried to communicate with me at one point. Unless you have something that makes you really intolerable in peoples' presence (e.g., severe Asperger's), then you should be able to find some friends.

 

 

 

(Not to say people with severe Asperger's don't find friends, but from what I've been told, they have rather depressing and lonely schooldays).

Err... I don't have aspergers. I've been in school with most of the people at my school for at least a year... I don't exactly think lent's idea would work for me :/ I'm pretty sure that everybody either hates me, avoids me at all costs, or just thinks that I'm weird :/ (Unfortunately that's not my low self esteem, it's true >.>) What I meant to say before was that although I'm prepared to live a life isolated from people, I'd rather not. I know that you all keep saying that having friends is great, I just don't know if it's really worth the effort :/ Is there a way to make friends without people thinking I'm even weirder than before? To be honest, I'm not really sure what "friend" means... is it somebody that doesn't hate you or somebody that likes you? Quite a few of you are younger than me (almost 17 >.>)... I've never had friends and I'm not really sure if anybody has been in that situation ._. It seems that by the time somebody is 15, they have had at least one girlfriend... I'm not sure if it's one of those weird tif things or if I'm really just that pathetic D:

My first girlfriend broke up with me, I got yelled at by my dad for apparently being generally worthless, had an orthodontist appointment, apparently broke my dad's car door (i have no idea how) and now i'm sitting here on the computer. FML.

Sure, after you get more it does, but as runescapers/ex-runescapers I'm sure most of us have been through the point in our lives where we had no friends and were the quiet kids that talked to no one. We all realize how difficult it can be to break out of the no-confidence shell but I can guarantee you it is one hundred percent worth it. If you wait another year, another month, another week, the regret will keep building up and it is NOT a pleasant feeling. It's going to be difficult but YES it's worth it. And no, people don't hate you. Some might think you're weird since you never talk, but honestly, what difference is that going to make? You've got to make the change, you've got to start talking. Even if you're faking the confidence, you've got to show people you've returned to the school year one badass mother [bleep]er who's not afraid of rejection. It's not easy, but if you don't do it now, it will only be harder later.

Not everyone hates you. Gather up all your courage, and start talking to people. There's bound to be someone out there who likes you for who you are. They just don't know it yet. Good luck, this is for your own sake.
