champion
I understand quite a few Today thread regulars hate it when someone calls the iPod Touch an iTouch, so here's one of my friend's recent facebook statuses: "the new facebook update for the itouch is prettyy boss" :x But the update is pretty nice. Except you can't chat while browsing other stuff, which sucks.

rangeor
Am I the only one that finds sweeping and Van Halen/Malmsteen guitar work excessive? No, but there's no harm in learning the technique. It can only help you. Even though my teacher plays like that on all his albums, he's a really down to earth dude that plays a LOT of different styles. It's just that he thinks neoclassical is more fun to play.
Lenticular_J
Man, I still have 40 pages to read. [bleep]ens is damn difficult. I have to highlight it too, but I can't highlight when I read. Whenever I read something, I turn it into a movie. If I broke that flow by highlighting, it'd take even longer. Damn. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Lenticular_J
Horrifyingly complex and slow. Where's the guillotine, dammit? I just don't like such descriptive writing. Of course, the speech habits of Victorian English and French folk isn't exactly something I enjoy reading, either. Too much formality. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
Lateralus
It's not [bleep]ens' best (if you ask me), but it's still a fantastic book. It's interesting that Lent said [bleep]ens is difficult. I've always found that my eyes flow over his prose almost unbelievably easily. A Tale of Two Cities isn't typical [bleep]ens though and I would call it one of his more difficult novels, after Hard Times. Even if you don't enjoy A Tale of Two Cities all that much, you have to read David Copperfield. One of the finest English novels ever written. La lune ne garde aucune rancune. Lenticular_J
It is very beautiful, don't get me wrong. But it just doesn't interest me, I guess. It slows down so much I feel my eyes straining to read as fast as they can, without comprehension, which I don't like. Being forced to read and highlight it can't help either, though. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Lenticular_J
After we finish (possibly), I know next to nothing of the context. That probably would help, wouldn't it? I was just never that interested in the time period. All the same, I have to read it for two classes, and I learned I can't use the same book because "our annotations have to be different". Why can't I just use a different damn color, so I don't have to buy a [bleep]ing ten dollar book when I got one for free? Stupid. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

i_love_burritos
You know when you start putting stuff in something that's near full ? Yeah, that leads to overfilling. Then laying that container on it's side so all of the contents overflows ? Yes. Check. Me. Last night, slept at about 4:00 AM. Before however felt hungry - ate some food [at the time nothing seemed wrong]. Bad idea. 4.5 hours later at 7:30 AM - I was coughing half digested, acid covered rice grains. Not nice. Especially rice. Or some other wholegrain. Has certain abrasive properties that tend to stay with you. Just recoverded a few hours ago.

Hawks
Got my schedule today, it was better than I expected because I though I would have to sit in the counselor's office forever waiting to change my schedule... My course list is a little odd for a sophomore but it's good. Jazz Band, Pre-Calc, English 10, Basic Art, World History, Physics 1, German 2, and Nutrition for this semester. My ID pic is crap, the glare off my retainer makes it look like I have stuff on my teeth. Although I found out that my school changed their contract to Coke instead of Pepsi. No more Diet Mountain Dew for me at school. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube

H2PM
Just got home from my first day of high school. Tired. Lot of walking to do. But that doesn't bother me at all. Now time to do this homework. I've got until Monday to chill and not write an essay. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.
