You are now aware that you're breathing.

Damn it, deathdrow.

Remember that topic that had that as a title?

I ought to go bump that.

No. Ah I'm breathing all awkwardly now.

that's what she said.

you are now aware that you're blinking.

I have a 3-4 pound book, at least one, to every class in school this year, even art; but not gym.

Does anyone know if tropical cyclones/hurricanes can be predicted? If yes, how?

The most I've gotten is, "Cyclones Are Predicted By Weather Satellites In Space Which Send Signals Back To Earth Onto A Computer Telling That Theres A Cyclone And How Its Formed And What Speed Its Going At."

and

"Hurricanes are predicted by the ocean water. If the ocean water is extremely hot then get out and about an hour from that moment a hurricane will form."

-.- It's really bugging me.

When high and low pressure systems meet ?

Some crap about warm, moist air and very cold antarctic or mountainous air meeting, one subducting and all this [cabbage]. Can't remember geography for the life of me.

Just search up "Weather caused by air pressure". You should be able to deduce your answer from that. Then again you can get [bleep]y and go for the ol' vagueness. Hopefully your teacher is as clueless and naïve as mine was. They'll eat this up for sure :

"Weather by nature is difficult to predict and to forecast. However amongst certain weather conditions common and identifiable traits begin to exhibt themselves"

Or, some crap like that. Worked for me on several occasions. Just skirt the question and sound all flowy.

Some links I thought might help.

Air Pressure

Weather - This one is good.

Hurricanes

Cyclones

Predicting Tropical Cyclones

Cyclones - This one explains cyclones clearly.

Predicting Hurricanes - This is also quite good.

There were also a bunch of papers, but I don't think those would have been any good.

That's the formation?

Thanks for the links though. I guess it's just weather forecasts and [cabbage].

Wow, I love how a story about 11 year olds sending letters to the Wanganui Mayor is in the news. All they did was ask for the letter "h" to be added to the spelling of Wanganui and now the mayor is being accused of bullying children.

Yeah, no problem. I think the links will be more helpful. But, I know that when these pressure systems meet nothing too spectacular happens. See high pressure is the cold air [as the molecules in the gas are more densely packed. Exterting more pressure directly around and underneath them] and low pressure is the warm air [as the molecules are excited and tend spread]. Due to this push of both these pressure systems [less in that of high pressure as gravity doesn't affect as much] differening weather conditions are formed.

When the two pressure systems meet the denser air slips itself under the lighter air [low pressure]. Causing the moist air to rise upwards due to the local temperature difference, into higher altitudes. Where the lack of heat causes it to condense and form rain, snow and hail. Generally these two pressure systems, and where they meet are called frontal systems - thus weather "occurs" at the edges of dissimilar systems.

EDIT: Off-Topic is boring, so I'm just finding ways to waste my time [better].

*Sigh* Here we go.

WE CANT PREDICT THE WEATHER.

Its impossible, weather is always changing and what not, making it impossible to predict it.

The best we can do is forecast, and yet that is always dodgy.

So all in favor of getting back ON TOPIC;

This thread always is going god knows where when it strays off..

Either way; So I tried pot for the first time last night..I'm still not honestly sure what to think of it. It's just like when your drunk, you have this heavy feeling about you. But.. it was the same thing, but light. Idk how to explain it. But the taste.. OH GOD the taste...

I like stir fry

^Pot is beautiful. I've never been drunk but I doubt it felt like that. Could have been a different type :P I love pot and pot loves me, we have a harmonious relationship .

Obligatory that [cabbage] [bleep]s you up!

Today I read a book all day. The Handmaid's Tale by Margeret Atwood. Next I'm going to read this play called The Rover by Aphra Behn. Argh, everytime, EVERYTIME!!! I put off homework until the last minute. If I find out I have to drop English Lit I will blow a gasket.

I don't get the big deal with weed. Doesn't do a whole lot for me. Then again, I generally get really boring heavily under the influence of, well, anything, so I try to keep it liiiiight.

Just finished learning Stockholm Syndrome. The verses and chorus are a lot more boring to play than I expected, but the awesome breakdown at the end makes it all worth it

Here's the first half of the chorus, to give you an idea:

I don't get the big deal with energy drinks. I had green Monster and it didn't do anything to me.

Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]!

Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL!

I like the taste of monster but yeah, I don't really get any energy from them. But I never really buy them since they're expensive anyway.

THAT TOO! But I don't drink a lot of caffeine and water. I live off of milk, water, and occasionally a Dr. Pepper. I feel sorry for the kids I see drinking a few coffees a day, maybe a couple Monsters. They're gonna have a lot of heart stress, and at best a horrifying caffeine addiction.

Why do people like energy drinks anyways? They taste like [cabbage] and 6 hours of sleep is enough to stay awake for all the daytime hours!

6 hours of sleep a night isn't enough for me, I need 8 to be able to stay awake the whole day witbout being tired, but I can manage off of three with an amp and two or three coffees in the morning.

I personally love the taste of energy drinks.

My girlfriend and I broke up today. I don't feel too bad though.

I don't know where I would be without my daily coffee. I take pride in drinking black coffee - us "dirt guzzlers" are a dying breed, in this world of Starbucks and Nestcafe nancies.

Today I finally got to play some SQUASH! Luckily for me there are 3 other good people in my class (normally everyone is [developmentally delayed]ed when it comes to squash), two of them being pretty girls <3: And the guy is a pretty good guy, so I'm going to have a lot of fun playing with them this semester. People in our class thought I was banging one of the girls' brains out when they heard us grunting and her yelling like a porn actress, with us leaving the court panting and sweaty  I gave the guy who made the joke an obligatory high five of course.
