No no, I think Katakana is pretty easy.

ka in hiragana is か 　

ka in katakana is カ

 

You'll be fine :) You'll start memorising it the more you use it, so basically you'll know it very well after like a year.

My college sells windows 7 ultimate for $7 :)

It's mostly because I learned in an academically "bad" way - mostly by reading Japanese web sites and simple books, and by doing that, you don't encounter katakana very often. It has a lot of benefits though. Reading sentence structure, tense and how verbs conjugate early on has been a very big help.

Don't ask why (I don't know) bvut xp/vista home (32 or 64 bit) can go to windows 7 home or ultimate just peachy. But Professional requires a lengthy process. The home and ultimate aren't on sale, professional is.

god let go from my job. well, it was fun while it lasted and I learned alot of new things. I guess its back to job hunting for me (after I buy my PC so I can still claim tax on it)

Anyway, today was pretty easy. Went to school for one one hour class, and started to understand Galvanic cells, and such, not that hard. I said my goodbyes to the many people there (three, all womenz :cool: ) and walked home. Walk took me an hour, pretty good, I guess. Judging by that, it'd take me maybe one and a half/one and three quarters hours to go across town, such a big place, aye? Well, then I played some Red Dead Redemption and got minimally closer to 100%. Tried working on the remaining two challenges I have to do but couldn't get them both done (bloody cougars) and then I chilled for a bit and watched eight episodes of Jackie Chan Adventures.

Because my listening skills aren't very good, and I personally agree, I know my listening skills do suck but there's no way around it, its genetic and im slightly tone-deaf.

Wow ok. All the sites said I had to do all of this complicated stuff. All I did was cllick run, custom install, select partition, and then I went to bed. Woke up and it was all complete o.O I'm running on it now after 3 minutes of set up.

A teacher in my school (she teachers English literature and grade 12 English) wen ton the morning announcement to show how she got a replica of Kate Middleton's* engagement ring and said any stduent or staff was welcome to come down to her classroom to see it.

 

Then she came into my English classroom mid lesson to show it to us.

And also stopped everyone in the halls and showed them it.

Apparently her room is full of doilies, porcelain dolls, and a garden arch. (You know, the type that's like a lattice?) covered in silk flowers.*

 

I kind of wish I could have her as a teacher, now.

 

*For anyone who doesn't know, Kate Middleton is the soon to be princess of England.

 

**Well, used to be. The school's under construction, so teachers aren't allowed to personalize their rooms, as they get kicked out of them a lot. But I'm sure she'll bring it all back after construction is done.

We're in year 12 now, the last year of school, and they're still making us go to a religion thingy. Seriously? It falls on English, my most important course, as it's the only compulsory one, and they think they can take that away from me? I don't like the subject, but still, it's kinda a little important. If I have to do anything for it, I'm shifting into maximum over-atheist-troll.

Pretty much this. They did this to us in year 7 unless you were in the brass band.

 

I joined the band just to get out of it, left it 2 weeks later because I got the last instrument but some year 9 chick just took it sayig "oh thats mine" and I was like "well, whatever"

 

then they stopped religion compulsory thingo.
