September 6, 200817 yr Most of the boss monsters in runescape are alike and share a similar concept. A large 4x4 monster with a high max hit. I think a different kind of boss monster would be more interesting. Something that was a little more unique. I came up with these. A little creature we call the Doppelganger. A little 1x1 square level 80 monster with 60 hitpoints. Imagine it a dark creature in long dark robes and a hood covering it's face. The weakest ones will have no hoods and be a little bit more exposed (You can see their faces, arms and like). I see their face as a grey with a slight green tint that is rather shriveled up. Once you knock off 10 hitpoints on the creature, it spawns a creature that has 10 less hp than the previous ones. 10 HP creatures will not spawn a new one. The level 60 hp one will spawn in it's lifetime, one 50 hp, one 40, one 30, one 20 one 10. Then the 50 hp one will spawn a 40 hp one, 30 hp one 20 hp one and a 10 hp one and so on and so forth. I have calculated that there would be 32 Monsters with a combined total of 630 HP. In P2P, there will be a different room with a tougher doppleganger that has a starting hp of 90 which amounts to 124 monsters I believe. Beware, chinchompas will become frightened and will flee if you bring them to the boss area. Zaros's power never extended into this domain, so he can only help you with some of the ancient magicks (No barrage or Burst spells). As with most bosses, you can't use a cannon in here. Melee Attacks: It has a melee attack that will be relative to the weapon you are weilding. If you are holding a godsword, it's max hit will be high and speed will be slow. If you are weilding a rune scimitar, it's max hit will be similar to that and it's speed will be the same. If there are multiple people in the room, it will take to the person with the most powerful weapon. The base melee attack will be a scimitar speed attack. Range attacks: A glowing purple dart that is as fast as an arrow Magic attack: A magic attack based on your level and spellbook in the case of multiple people, the attack based on the highest leveled person. Dungeon: This whole dungeon is multi-combat The large red squares are the boss spawns. There will be 2 spawns for them. Loot Other Monsters in Dungeon
September 6, 200817 yr I like it. Sounds like a difficult challenge, so lets hope it yields some decent rewards ;) My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
September 6, 200817 yr Love the idea, but will you be able to kill the F2P boss in P2P as well, or can you only face the high lvl boss? Might make Chinning too easy though? Doomy edit: I like sheep

September 6, 200817 yr Alright, I think this is a decent idea. Several thoughts: Since this is a "boss monster" will multiple players be able to fight it simultaneously? Also, what combat methods will it use (Magic, Range, Melee) ? ~Dan : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube!

December 19, 200817 yr I can slaughter dozens of level 60s without ever needing to eat, and I'm not even maxed out. How would this be difficult? The p2p one is a bit better. So these monsters would all be attacking you at the same time, with various combat styles? I see how that would work as a challenge, but a level 10 would not be fearsome, even if there's twenty of them attacking me at the same time. Perhaps make it so that the level 90 spawns two level 80s when it dies, the level 80s spawn two level 70s each, and et cetera. 1 90 2 80 4 70 8 60 16 50 32 40 64 30 128 20 256 10 This way, you'll be fighting a horde of monsters, and the order in which you kill the matters. Do you kill one 80 then all of its children, leaving the other 80 to keep attacking you? Or do you kill all the 80s first, to prevent some of that damage. It might even be interesting to have it backwards. You enter the room with 100 level 50s, and as you keep killing them, every two you kill combine and form into a monster 10 levels higher. Eventually it turns into one level 120. That would be a very hard challenge, even as a group. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+

December 19, 200817 yr I'll place a big support on what the thread started with. ....... I simply see no reason to change any of it. However, I admit that Jagex might see reason to tweak a little of it. :-k ... Although, it would be nice if they left as-is. Esper_Jones's idea of how to tweak it is just overkill. :P ~D. V. "Now that's a monster worth my time." Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)

December 28, 200817 yr Awesome idea! I love it. I really would like to see more boss monsters that aren't hard just because they are strong (kinda like the Giant Mole) YOu should post drops, as well. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
December 31, 200817 yr love the original idea & jones's. maybe make it like tzaar fighting caves where your alone. Possibly createing both ideas but jones's would have alot better rewards since it would be alot harder. would really be challangeing for f2p people since they dont have all those potions like sara+super restore. an idea of a reward might be a hp boosting shield. after reading all the posts recently hp has been a problem and hp boosting equiptment has been one of the solutions. It would be a knock off of the dragonfire and chrystal shield (without the high stats which would overpower f2p). chrystal in that it degrades each point of damage you take. dragonfire in that you have to go back to the bosses and recharge it somehow... ??? xturtx - range tank:
December 31, 200817 yr Sick idea but it would need multiple attack styles so you could be hit by more then 4 at once only 2 skills below level 50 :)
