It is possible that morytania extended his life and has allowed him to live for those 400 years, that or he is actually undead, or he is the descendant of the guy who left and he was told about it in stories. Either way, there is a connection somehow

Clearly he was married too Jennica or it was his loved one.

According to posts on the RSOF the ring increases the chance of a Barrows drop. One guy claims to have had 3 barrows drops in a row, and another clams it ended his dry-spell on the first attempt.

 

 

 

Obviously it could just be luck, but I'm willing to spend a night doing a few runs.

So if the Strange Old Man had Jennica at 18, and Jennica died at 25 (judging by Summer age) That makes the Strange Old Man 443. He may be old, but he aint that old!

Its is a fictional world ... there are many ways to live that long in sci-fi

Ok the Strange Old Man, by my estimate, looks like he died about 200 years ago. Now Jenicas been dead a few hundred years, whos to say this strange old man is not the farm hand who ran away? I mean the Wise Old Man has been alive long enough to have interacted with many imcando dwarfs and he dosen't even look like he should be dead yet, and Trailborn is older still and also still looks alive. The strange old man could be animated dead, or someone who only still lives because some great guilt will not even let death come to him (much like how a ghost cannot move on only worse).

Tried wearing the complete corresponding set to a barrow brother, use the ring at the top of their mound, orr you could kill them and try it , or kill them and try activate it inside the crypt, or try activate near the chest inside the crypt. So many combinations of stuff you can try, only 1 right answer, or none. :D

I wore Verac's on Verac's mound. No luck. :(

there is probably nothing more behind it.(so far)
