I should reiterate how enjoyable clan wars can be.

I'm in a tight group of pures and zerker pures and we always tear up c wars, it's probably the main source of most of my runescape fun.

If you can't find something fun to do, do something other than rs for a while, and then come back when you find it fun again.

Other than that, slay. slay slay slay.

Well, I've semi-quit now, and I'll be completely quitting at the beginning of next year, but...

I just slay and train Summoning, I guess.

Temple Trekking if i'm alone or fishing and chatting is fairly fun. Or I dress up as things with Suzi and wander around. We like to dress as bears and drop honeycomb.

I find it relaxing just to play and train my skills...

however if i want to do something fun i might go on a monsterhunt with a m8 or 2 or maybe go penguins with them... most important is that i don't have to do it myself...

Monster Hunt, train a skill with a friend, play a minigame that you like or haven't tried before, do quests (GAWD, what are you doing here if you don't have a quest cape?? ), go PKing, do duel tournaments, the list goes on and on.... seriously, if you have gotten bored of all these things it might be time to quit.

As somebody else said, just quit if you're getting bored. It's much better to quit now, and spend £30 (or whatever) on a quality game made by a recognised company that'll keep you entertained for at least a month, rather than carry on playing this vaguely interconnected glued-up-together mess of a game. Don't get hooked into thinking you have to carry on to remain competitive.

As for RS itself, I used to play Castle Wars. In fact, that, quests and PC were my only outlets of "fun". I used to play CW for hours on end every Friday and Saturday. Then they nerfed PC (not that I minded, but it meant no one else played any more), I finished all the quests, and they made special CW worlds where overpowered Ancients ruined the game. Not much fun any more. I could have gone monster hunting, but didn't have the equipment, the skills or the time. I could have trained combat for money to afford the equipment, but combat is so ridiculously mind-numbing in RS I couldn't be bothered (Get slayer task -> bank -> do slayer task -> bank -> get slayer task -> bank zZz).

That's really where the fun ended, along with my RS subscription.

what do u do for fun?

Stab people.

Heh. I used to randomly run into the wilderness with nothing more than a DDP++, put on Protect Item and spec PK pures just to wind them up. That was fun.

I suppose I could do that now - oh wait, they even took that out...

player: Die monster! You don't belong in this world!

grind: It was not by my hand that i once again given concept. I was called here by players who wish to pay me tribute.

player:Tribute? You steal player's souls, and make them your slaves!

grind: Perhaps the same could be said of all games...

player: Your words are as empty as your entertainment value. Playerkind ill needs a saviour such as you!

grind: What is a player? A miseriable little pile of red bull and cheetos!!

sorry, on a castlevania rush lately. but ya, the grind isn't fun. Don't let it take your soul. The red bull and cheetos are a sign!
