Who said you wont be able to get it back? All holiday items are retrievable, if you got them from someone else or not.

 

 

 

And, all your FTP players do is piss and moan. Every event before this gave items that never really did anything, and now you get something that can be upgraded in P2P (incentive to buy members anyone?) and you piss and moan.

To the topic starter, do you not think that us Free Players should be very grateful for JaGeX even giving us a quest to begin with, forget the broom. WE DON'T PAY! They could have just given us the Halloween Event and handed the new quest over to Members. If you keep whining like this, JaGeX will not give us anything at all.

 

 

 

PS: The 10 Bowls of Goulash is a very nice reward, considering that it's the equivalent of getting 10 Genie Randoms.

 

 

 

By "All ftp players" Im generalizing the people on the rants section, "FTP deserves this" "ftp deserves that" and people like the OP, saying they got a useless holiday item (arnt they all useless?) Just comes to prove my point.

It's supposed to be a useless yet decorative item for f2p, like all of the other holiday items you get. It would look good as part of a witch costume (black hat and robes?), much like the grim reaper hood looks good as part of a grim reaper costume. I thought half the point of the event was to emphasise this?

Though I'm P2P, I too dislike the broom. Given that the event and PvP were the only two updates this month, and that I have no reason to use one and the other I found lacking, I feel like a dissatisfied customer.

I'm not getting to say anything about F2P not derserving anything, due to flame wars and the traddition of holiday events for all, but no holiday event has EVER had ANY real practical use. Your holiday event is the same as the rest, it's not nerfed, so stop whining.

This is true. But, though I do love money, sometimes I want something that I'll try. Something that I enjoy. PKing really isn't that- for me, the risk outweighs the reward. So my benefits are only secondary. It helps me, but really doesn't add to my gaming experience.

I know this sounds unethical but: beggars can't be choosers. :shame:

To the poster who said we can get the broom back: that's actually not true. Technically, it's not a holiday item, but a quest item. And if maggie disappears from f2p worlds, then we can't get it back until we get members.

Granted it is a useless item but hey, better a useless broom than NO broom right? ;)

Uselessness of the broom what? I'm still busy loving Jagex for even giving F2P and additional quest this year(and ghoulash, not to mention the load of updates before that).

It's not a bad update. Personally, I wouldn't have minded if they gave the broom some sort of emote, like riding it or something if you operated it. That would've been a nice touch. However, can't complain about the robes and the goulash though.

Name one holiday item after the Scythe that actually has a use in F2P. Then, and only then, will I consider that your rant is valid.

It's a broom, a fun item, not everything has to have a use or serve a purpose. For example, what positive impacts has RuneScape had on your life? Mhm. Seems pretty useless to me other than being a nice way to waste time.

Im pretty sure that FTP can get it back from the person they got it from originally or Diango.

 

 

 

They wouldnt give them an item they cant get back, they have NEVER done that. If you've gotten bunny ears, you can get them back. If you've gotten scarves, you can get them back.

 

 

 

The broom is no different. Why break the pattern now.
