dark1wraith
I love clues. its not about the reward its the fun of traveling around and just mixing it up. In my view, clues are a waste of time, a fun waste of time \ Dax has the right idea. Now, i have to admit that i'm not exactly happy when i have to do Uri's emote clues as i then have to go buy or make the items and it usually costs me more than i make from the clue, and it takes up bankspace because i keep them so i don't have to buy them again. thus i completely despise emote clues. For example yesterday i did a level 2 clue and i had to buy the snakeskin to make snakeskin chaps (because snakeskin chaps don't sell on the grand exchange) which cost me 30k and the reward was worth 12k. Even with that I've gotten a guthix platebody, so if you do enough clues it all evens out. I do every clue i get, as soon as i can because i enjoy them, the reward is just an incentive. Randox
I will do clues like many people here, even if I don't expect anything from them. I fall victem to teh 'possible reward' outweighs the neigh on immpossibility of getting said reward. This is the reason I don't ever go to casinos. If I can't bear to drop that clue in a virtual game, what are the chances I can pry myself off a slot machine. Short of Texas Hold 'em, which I happen to be resonably good at, I would lose alot of money gambling and be just as mad about it as I am when I get bad clue rewards. I don't even get firelighters anymore which while worthless, are very entertaining and have useful applications at parties. I actualy do clues for the (high stress) relif I get from skilling. By high stress I mean I can't kill a revenant until Jagex gives me the ability to copy myself and outnumber the revs 3 to 1. I could go for rareer drops (though 1 in 1000 is fretty damn rare, and yes that is about the average fro my last 5 level 3 clues from ankous, all without killing more than 100 of any other creature). alcoolj
I go through fads on clues. Havent done one for a few months now, but when I start up slaying again, I will probably do clues too. Took a break from them after dieing in wildy by Chaos Elemental - cost me loads of time and cash to restock on my gear (rune defender especially!) Omar
When i was a member, i would do lvl 1 and lvl 2's i did level three's but EVERYTIME i did one i always got a puzzle. I read so many guides on doing them it takes me like 45 mins, I finish and i go to the reward and its like a rune long -.- And Idk if you can get puzzles from lvl 1 and 2's but i never have and I get alot better rewards : How do you follow guides and still fail :P? OT (although that wasn't that off-topic) I used to do them, but the running around in the wild, killing the Zamorak Wizard then heading out of the wild, and remembering that I forgot to dig again after killing it got to my nerves. Had I had the chance to do any level ones or two, I would have, but I haven't gotten any since I stopped doing level 3s. Then again I don't kill anything anymore... Matt: You want that eh? Reztral
It's lame when you take an hour of your day to do them (on average) and you only get a piece of furniture or something else that is completely worthless. I'm not saying that you should get something amazing like 3rd age everytime of course, but it would be nice if the rewards were a little bit better. --8727th person to achieve 99 Fishing on 8/19/2008----6012th person to achieve 99 Thieving on 10/12/2008--R.I.P. Lugia_Lvl138
I still do them because I can knock them out in a good 10-15 minutes. Whip/Barrows/DFS, the infinite run pool, and Lunar Book with 99 Mage all own for clues. Not to mention the fact that I memorized pretty much every non coordinate level 3 clue, and have a locator handy for the coordinates :. 4x Phat owner: Blue, Green, 2x Purple 3100+ GWD bosses soloed.Solo GWD Drops:5 Bandos Plates, 4 Bandos Boots, 3 Bandos Hilts, 2 Arma Helms, Arma Skirt, Arma Plate, 3 Arma Hilts, 4 Zammy Spears, Steam Staff, 15 Sara Swords, 6 Sara Hilts, 29 Shards. ilovecuttingyews
When I was p2p I never really got many lvl 3's but I did them all. I think that they provide a much needed break from grinding out tasks of 150+ anything. In my short time as p2p I was insanely lucky with clues (many wizzy G and T, zammy robes, couple of pages (2 zammy in 1 clue  ), and even a top hat). All in all, I think that they are good fun ways to take breaks and there is the added bonus of free money. \
DarkX99
Personally, I clues. I almost always get a Lvl 3 clue from my slayer tasks and I always do them. The thrill of the reward always keeps me happy about doing clues. The best reward I've ever received was a Robin (which was about 2 years ago) and I still hop for better rewards. \ Admittedly, the rewards have become worse with gilded and opulent stuff. I never get god pages anymore and my recent rewards are a little on the bad side. Yet, I still do them for the thrill and because they're so easy to me. 99 WC - 12/20/08! =D99 Defence - 6/19/09! 44,012 to reach it! BloodArgon
I do level 1 and 2s because they're fun, short, and the only clue reward I care about is Zammy Pages. I sometimes do lv3s but I often wind up dropping them because of puzzle boxes. the level 3's take like 15 mins to do, i don't always do them right away but eventually when i have time i'll do them. Unless you get a puzzle box, then it eats up your whole evening. you clearly fail at puzzle boxes  i do them in 3 minutes, maybe less :) Dito. I actually timed it, Puzzle box was done in 5:40. Due to the fact of the old puzzle box glitch. Shame I spent 200k on monkey madness before I knew how to solve the boxes so fast :wall: 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
Miner52289
Anyone else besides me have an entire section of their bank devoted to one of each item needed for the lvl-3 emote clues? I figure this bank section is worth easily over 200k but well worth it cuz I can just bank, grab the items I need, grab the teleport I need and I'm off. Also puzzles are easy with enough practice. You just have to learn how to manipulate the pieces to make them go where you want them to. I can easily do the castle one and the tree one without even having to look at a picure of the completed puzzle, although the troll one is harder to do because the background doesn't have a large variety of colors. The quickest I've ever done one has to be ~20 seconds only because literally half the puzzle was already done for me  With the price of rune armor up from where it was before the PvP update, they are totally worth doing. But not the level 1s or 2s, cuz honestly, who likes getting addy and black garbage? xXCaBBaGeXx
I always do lvl 3 clues asap. I did around 10 in one week when camping at greens. Even though I got all junk you always have that chance of making 45mill from a 3a chest...45 mill for 30min of work is not something to pass up! :wall:
jessy87
i got a lvl 1 clue today from my kingdom that fishes for me. I got a zammy robe top. kind of interesting the low level ones are seemingly more profitable.

Naive
Sure most of them are junk and stuff, but the rewards do stack up. And sometimes you will get those good ones. Heck, I got Zammy hide top from one clue, and two Guthix plate legs from the one right after that  I do them usually after the Slayer task I'm on is done, but if it's a hellhound task I do it right away. I've gotten 7 clue scrolls from one hellhound task once. :P Requiescat in pace, Shiva "Anarith" Kumar.351 Quest Points|99 Strength|99 Attack|99 Constitution|99 Defence|99 Magic|138 Combat|99 Summoning|99 Slayer|99 Ranged|99 Firemaking|99 Dungeoneering|99 Cooking|99 Prayer|99 Runecrafting|99 Smithing|99 Fletching|99 Construction|99 Farming|99 Fishing|99 Herblore|99 Crafting|99 AgilityTrue friends are never separated by distance, for they are forever linked by their hearts.Join the HYT CLAN![qfc]90-91-310-65710712[/qfc]
SirTommy2005
Those who complains about clues being so long your doing it all wrong. Use the inventory, nothing can get the jump on you except a Uri clue. Puzzles your take you 2mins, I've had puzzle where it took 20 sec because they were almost all aligned. Edit: Oh yea add 3k gp for fees.
Serpent Eye
I usually drop my level-3 clues, or else they just build up a thick layer of dust in my bank... the costs (Laws and time) outweigh the rewards (Firelighters...) by far. I usually only complete level-2 and -1 scrolls. It seems as if there isn't as much traveling involved for them, and that if there is, they spots are all relatively close to each other. Honestly, though... for the past four or so clues that I've done, the "best" item I've got for each of them has been Firelighters... woohoo.
Turnpike
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Honestly I like getting Firelighters and Purple Sweets because they are fun and useful. Matok
As someone who slayer most of the time i consider clues as integral part of my income so ye, i do each and every clue i get as soon as i get it (well..usually if there are 50+ kills left on a task)
