Print or Cursive?

I print, as I still can't find someone who can read my cursive (even I can't)

 

 

 

Maybe I could, I easily read someone's cursive while he's saying even he has trouble reading it and that no one's able.

I find writing in cursive faster than print. My pen never leaves the paper (except making dots and whatnot)

I was forced to learn cursive in 3rd grade. When I got into 4th grade, I faked like I couldn't write legibly in cursive so I could continue writing in print. I was a sly fox even in my elementary school days.

I can't write in cursive anymore, and I can barley read it. I haven't been forced to write in cursive for almost 7 years and in that time I have never used it or even needed to use it. It's supposed to look more professional, but when I do it, it looks like a chicken got a hold of a pen and had at it making me look like a toddler. So, yeah, I print everything I write. Even my name/signature. Besides, nowadays when something official/important needs to be made, typing is the way to go. It looks good, everyone can read it, and it has spell check!

By cursive do you mean "joined up"? because i'm rather surprised that so many tifers prefer print to cursive. EVERYONE at my school writes using joined up handwriting, or something close to it.

And tbh between a resume written in print and a one written in cursive, i'd submit the cursive one. Print just looks soo....unsophisticated.

You people are a disgrace. Ever since I learned cursive in 2nd or 3rd grade, that's all I've ever written in except for crossword puzzles. Period.Granted, it looks as though someone blew a cannon through an artist and captured his dried blood spatter on the paper, but still, that's it. People in 5th and 6th grade used to call and my friend "the cursive guys" since we never wrote in print. In 7th and 8th grade, people would comment on it all the time, how it looked like calligraphy (which just shows what they know about calligraphy anyway), now nobody cares except to comment on how my illegible scrawl looks better than their illegible scrawl.

 

 

 

I also laugh at my old teachers all the time, since even though they say to never stop in the middle of a word, I do all the time to dot an i that i can't wait for or to do something else.

I hate cursive. It takes me longer to write in cursive than to print plus it's a lot sloppier too.

Cursive, of course! I'm the only one in my class who writes expressly in cursive. Cursive is a lot faster than print, and it looks better (in my opinion). Also, my handwriting is very readable, and I've been writing in cursive since second grade.

Yeah my style of writing is a pretty messy... If im trying to write fast, I write in a horrible slanted cursive with a really bad pen so you only see half the words.

 

If i write print, I take up two lines :D and do awesome graphical !

 

 

 

Also I even stop to look at some of my neat cursive which is maybe 1 or 2 letters in a page of writing then I show off to everyone saying isnt that the most awesome f and o joined together you have ever seen!

All I know is that I type everything important. Both are illegible.

Wow lol, I don't even do stuff in the busy-work period. All I do is doodle and draw stuff, and act like I'm working. I just copy really quickly off the person next to me, and turn it in when they ask for it. :D

hmmm.. my handwriting is a mixture of cursive and print. I'll start out writing in print, by the second sentence I'm writing in cursive.. and.. after that.. it's a mix.

I actually kind of do a hybrid of the two. I rarely pick up my pencil, resulting in a mess that no one can read. But it's print letters.

I used cursive until about 8th grade before I realized that I was faster printing. Haven't used cursive since then except to sign my name.

Good to see I'm not a wierdo or a slow learner to not write in crusive. I just kinda hate it. Also for the resume thing, it a long story but I had no computer during the time and I wrote it print and the arguement began.

I do a bit of both, actually. I print, but it joins because I'm cbf exerting myself to lift the pen.

I hate cursive, I actually forgot to do some of the letters so on the SAT's where you have to write that disclaimer, I just make up letters. So I always write print, unless it's a timed writing then I kind of do a hybrid style: I write in print but I never lift my pencil.

I can do both, but I use cursive most of the time, because I find it much faster. Although, I don't join letters that go under the line, other than p's and q's.

My handrighting is terrible, and if i wrote everything in cursive, my teachers would be in an insaine(sp?) aslyum.

 

I ONLY right cursive for things I have to. Like my signature. Which looks like

i'm not sure if anyone does this but when i print my name, i always put the G in my last name in cursive.
