First of all, just note that all of this is hypothetical due to legal issues which could arise from any such event.

 

 

 

The idea was, how would a TIF convention be organized? Everyone contributed and tried to think of ways to make it work. Last I remember of it, it was on an ark with the internet tough guys enforcing rules with shotguns, *coughdeloria*. But before it all turned into silly nonsense, there were decent ideas on how it would be organized, how people would be invited, and all that jazz.

 

 

 

So here is the new topic.

 

 

 

If it was announced that a Tif Convention would take place, and you were asked to help organize, what would you suggest?

 

 

 

Keep in mind -

 

- Geographical Constraints: We are not all American

 

- Financial Constraints: We are not all loaded

 

- Accomodation Issues: Most of us require sleep

 

- Security Issues: Most of us value our well being... Most of us :(

 

- Entertainment Requirements: A bunch of Tifers standing round chatting, due to the demographic of TIF wouldn't go too well.

 

- Whether it would be Runescape only or Non Scapers equally involved and how you would incorporate that.

 

 

 

Think of areas it could be held, places that are most efficient. Anything that goes with a convention.

It would be a convention with about 7 people at, and thus create and awkward moment.

I wouldn't mind. Two's a company, three's a crowd.

We can't forget that it probably isn't a good idea for anyone under 13 to come at all, anyone between 13-17 to ask their parents, and 18+ can come as they like. And also it would have to be a place where 13+ people can be, no alcohol or other stuff etc.

Hm, because of the large geographical coverage, it would have to be in Antarctica. Just so that everyone has to travel. Or in my orbital space lab, but that woud get a little cramped.

 

 

 

I hear igloos are popular in Antarctica. But if they aren't, we can just hollow out some penguins to sleep in. Emperor Penguins of course, all the others are too small. Unless we have some seamstresses here that can sew together some of the litte guys.

 

 

 

Security would be handled by a detachment of robots armed to the servos with guns, lasers, etc. Unfortunatly they will not have room for communicative software.

 

 

 

I think the robots might be entertainment enough. But if that fails we can just go hunt penguins.

I guess the cheapest way to get their would be to grab a ride on a plane headed for a research lab. Oh wait, add skydiving to the entertainment portion. And setting the security force on research labs.

Anyways I just popped in here to say that I just got back from a gun convention, and the people there are hilarious.

Sadly, it's pretty much impossible due the place/time/money.

- Party at someone else his place! Again, free!

The typical thing with forums is a "meet". It's usually within the province/state/city that people are in and just meet up like that and just go to club/bar/restaurant and spend the night hanging out.
