Rahila
well it's finally almost ski season and i cannot wait to get back on the slopes! so, tell me your plans, where are you all planning on skiing/boarding this winter and are you as stoked as I am?? I live in the southwest and cannot wait to hit up snowbowl in flagstaff, durango, maybe telluride, and possibly park city. I also am looking into getting a new board in the next couple of weeks, and I need some advice on what type to get. I'm 5'10, weigh like 145, and ride regular if that helps. http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/
Ouchy
Ski Season has already occured where I live, but that is beside the point ;) On Topic: As much as I want to go out on the snow, I don't know how to do either. I learned0 how to ski once, but it sucked, and I did not enjoy it. Ah well, I can just go up to the Indoor Snow Park, that is just 20 Minutes from where I live. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
RichieMcD
I'm looking forward to the non-stop rain and sleet at best here in Ireland. If we get lucky it might rain enough that we can get some good mud-boarding going 8-)

fastortoise
I live in Montreal Quebec, so i'm only a half hour drive from all the major mountains like Tremblant, Saint-Sauveur, Sutton, ect. I know Tremblant was open this weekend, but I had to go to a party yesterday so I couldn't go. I normally go once every week with friends, my family never goes. I'm also planning on getting a new Rasta board by Technine, and some nice Vans boots. Some of my friends have chalets, so we can have a place to crash when we go for week long trips  I'm spoiled

But first I will have to spend a fortune on gear :(

Loffelicious
I live in Norway and I've been snowboarding for 8 years now. Possibilities are endless:D As for your board, go to a shop and ask there. And it depends how much you're spending, but Burton can't be wrong.. :) Skeletal wyvern guide: 100-150 crimsons per hour and PROFIT

Toxic388
Last season I went boarding twice and loved it. A week ago I bought all the gear + season pass which cost me ~700$. Now I'm just waiting for it to snow at the mountain. What kind of boards do you all have? ~Retired 10/17/07~"One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." - George W. nickeley102
i skiied for 8 years but switched to boarding 5 years ago i recommend the switch (or at least give it a go) to anyone who skis, its a completely different experience and the tricks are more varied, numerous and fun, in my opinion

I recomment Sims ones though. They're are really nice and nearly not as costly as Burton or K2. As for me, I really want a helmet, with audio compatibility. ~Retired 10/17/07~"One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." - George W. Hedgehog
There's not really any snow in Florida, or mountains either, but I remember one time, when I lived in Colorado, my parents took me up to Vail to ski. I went through ski school and they taught me how to ski. When it came time to actually ski I started out fine, until I had to stop. I was taught to go to "pizza formation" to break, but I ended up twisting my ankle really badly. On the brightside though, my ankle is much more flexible now. aquariusman
Oh god, I cannot wait until I get the chance to hit up a hill. This would be my third year skiing, and it bugs me that I wasn't able to go last weekend and I have a hockey tournament this weekend keeping me from going. Anyways, I'm in need of a new pair of skis, and I know that I am going for twin tips. Hopefully I can get the awesome colour combination of royal blue skis and yellow bindings again There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.
