You can hit, but it will be very rare, and through the fire shield very low. Switching attack styles is much much faster.

I'm trying it out for myself at the moment (as soon as I find a good world) but thank you.

 

 

 

After taking a long time to find a world, that was severely disappointing. You cannot just use Verac's, as they will never switch prayers and you will never be able to weaken them.

We have made a couple of changes to the behaviour and drop tables of the tormented demons. Due to the layout of the area they are in, they didn't behave the way we had planned, and a knock-on effect of this was that they became a lot easier to defeat. We also made an error when we calculated how many demons players would normally be able to kill over a certain period of time, which resulted in the dragon platebody parts being dropped at a more frequent rate than we had intended. To fix these problems, and to balance the demons to our initial design, the following changes have been made:

 

 

 

The demons will behave more appropriately against Ranged and Magic attacks, and not try to use melee attacks if the opponent is attacking them from a distance.

 

 

 

The drop chances of the individual dragon platebody pieces have been reduced to give the drop rate we intended, considering the frequency at which they are killed.

 

 

 

Okay, as a result, I see the dragon claws reaching over 200m street price and the Dragon Plate finally going back up. I hope this doesn't make the demons like the CB, in that modifying them makes them too difficult to kill while still having a chance at turning a profit. Very few teams go to the CB since the stomp was added.

Just bought a plate yesterday but the price of it went down again today -.- .... if it keeps down I will be mad that I bought it so early.

Since the update dragon plate *should* rise.

 

 

 

We still have the input from all the people finishing the quest. I think the plate will probably stay stable at around 25-40M.

I'm sure merchers will see this as an opportunity to buy the plate as cheap as possible, then start selling for max since less and less will come into the game thanks to the update to drop rates.

it wouldnt drop less than a chain, jagex links items of the same armor type's price caps together so that doesnt happen. plus more people would sell their chains when the price of plate gets close enough to upgrade and the flooding of chains would make chains go down even more. :]

 

if any of that makes sense. it did inside my head >.>

Not true. They link together stuff like potions. So if 1 dose is 100gp then 4 will be 400gp. These change together.

 

 

 

However armour are all separate entities. The only thing which cannot happen is the price go lower than a set amount, which is defined by Jagex. It could happen that the chain is more expensive than the plate, but it is highly unlikely.

i may, but bandos at slightly cheaper seems like a better investment. but owning a dragon plate is something many have been dreaming about since the first dragon items were introduced into the game, so maybe...
