Cha0sx
Omfg I had the worst luck at tormented demons. Me and my friend couldn't figure out whether to cs or ls because of drag claws being low. Instead it got screwed over for both of us(mostly me, always me  ). The dragon lump was ls'd to him and the claws where cs'd and we got 74k ea! Wow, Jagex hates me. dead_man_1
ARGHHH! This quest is frustrating. In the catacombs i dropped one of my pairs of elite black armour and there's no way to get more....except buy them from people. Anyway i have put max on all of it in the GE for a day now and it's not buying.....sooo. Someone want to lend me a pair of elite black armour? I really just need it for half an hour. PM me or add me in game : rsn = smavey. I will love you forever :D still need to borrow the set?
Gravy
Credited to do this and 6 other quests when I quit. Kinda disappointed, was way too easy even without a guide. :/ Just my opinion I guess, felt it didn't live upto the name "Grandmaster," if anything did, just the QP requirement. walka92
then quit your [bleep] and get 65 defence, hell get 70! or better yet, 99! you think your "cool" keeping your decence low but your not. your an idiot. theres so may more things you can do once you have a good defence that your an IDIOT to keep it so low. i thought everyone had worked that out by now, but obviously not Why would I want 2 accounts with high defence, it seems pointless? well then quit your [bleep]ing about not being able to complete the quest coz of your low defence. if you want to do the quest, swallow your e-pride and get defence higher and od the quest, or stop complaining and dont I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
Deal3r
I recorded the final fight of the quest and the killing of certain NPCs that you are able to kill after the quest. Please do not watch it if you don't want me to ruin the 'surprise' lol. [hide=]I vidded the final fight of the quest where your 99 skills got boosted to like 255 =p hit a 84 with dds poke and a 132 with 86 range less than decent gear >.< And here a vid of soloing tormented demons =p these guys drop dragon metal parts, including parts for the dragon platebody. Didn't get a drop tho, but then again..I only killed 15+ :c [/hide]
lordkafei
Just a heads-up, you can now be assisted to make the Dragonplate body, and they'll be lowering the Smithing requirement to 92 sometime next week. Blutters
Why can't you use a cheap spell and just use Magic and Ranged and only have to protect from Magic? Or instead of using the relatively slow Rune Crossbow, use Dragon Darts with the current method? Can these demons be poisoned?

They had just as well retroactively change it from a grandmaster-level quest to something lesser. Yeah, sure, level 92 smiths will slog all the way over to B.F.E. to assist for 2000 xp, when they could get 2000 xp faster by staying at the anvils in Varrock. Any chance of dragon plate being a true grandmasters item just got flushed for the sake of getting more plates in circulation more quickly. Cut in half. I got 12 mil+ for my lump. I'll buy the entire plate for less than that in a few months or sooner. Smavey
Hey everybody! I would like to say that Dead man 1 is officially my hero for helping me out! I can now finish the quest without having to spend 4 million! Thanks again man.
Makoto_the_Phoenix
What are you talking about? The only real requirement of Smithing in this quest is that it be at 69 or beyond. Making the Dragon Platebody is extra, and while I don't necessarily believe that it should've been lowered from 99 to 92, I still believe it should have been lowered. Bauke
Thanks. What should my inventory look like? It's quite simple. Just take your ordinary melee equipment, perhaps a pray pot if your pray is low (but I doubt it's needed. I can protect melee the whole fight and use piety with it). Next to that take some food (monks are good enough) to cover for the hit that the dragon'hai mage will inflict on you. He hits once in 20-30 seconds or something, so nothing to be afraid of. Cavi
Ok, ive finished the quest so ill give my 2 cents. Ive heard you can use the elite black armour to fight the tormented warrior (the one from summers end) but its still better to range it. The Balance elemental can lower all your combate stats with his magic attack so it would be wise to get a super restore instead of prayer potion. He always starts attacking with range and when he is nearly dead he switches to melee. If i remeber any tip ill post it. I might as well sell it and buy barrows armour, or maybe even bandos. The elite black armour doesn't even look that great.
Peronix
I'd sell my elite black armor and dragon claws I luckily got as a drop from the demons; I'd really love to rip those world 2 narbs off. Stupid trade limit... Is there actually any way of gathering mills worth of junk very quickly? Or is the concept of time = money just completely foreign to these junk traders? The best junk-making I know of is about 1m/hour... it largely depends on updates. Chiseling granite was extraordinary while it lasted. Smavey
So I just beat it and anyway here are my thoughts. The quest was average. I thought the puzzles were pretty straightforward and actually borderline really easy. And I thought the quest was a good length. And the biggest let down to me was the final boss. It was a joke. I mean I had a LOT of trouble beating the final boss to recepe for disaster and dream mentor, but this one was a JOKE! I used 4 monkfishes!! That's it!! I'm like lvl 100 combat and i had a tortoise helping me out and anyway those things must have INSANE defence because the guthix balance elemental didn't even scratch it! Anyway the elemental pretty much only attacked my turtle so that's why it was so easy, but it died really fast. And the demons were just fun :D (hitting 120s is a good feeling :D) And now for the rewards. HOLY !!!!!!!!!! I can't even explain how i'm feeling right now. I went from 68-73 summoning aka i can finally have an ex ex parrot! And....i just got 13 mill for my dragon piece.....I have rarely had over 1 mill in my existence in rs so I don't even know what to do with money like this!! I'm in shock kind of. I mean...i already bought a whip....maybe i'll get some new armour other than full rune lol. Maybe a santa hat? But yeah the reward was nuts. and i'm SO MAD i dropped that stupid elite armour! :@ :@ ...that's 6 mill i just wasted....( i still have my dorg ones...should i sell them or hold on to them for the sequel?) DarkX99
Quest was great - more the rewards than the content. I liked the quest story-wise; I'm going to miss Duradel though. :( The rewards were insane - I received 2 RC lvls, 2 Con lvls, and 1 Summon lvl. Sold the Dragon slice for 11.7m. I should have waited another day for an extra Mil but oh well. #-o Also sold my Black Elite Set for 1.2m. Overall, it was a great quest. : 99 WC - 12/20/08! =D99 Defence - 6/19/09! 44,012 to reach it! Aiming for 2000 Total Lvl!
