I hope the new movie is better than the last ones... The (EDIT-got the titles mixed up) 4th(not the 5th) book was prolly the best by far IMO... Mayjest
I get a free copy at midnight for doing at work at my local store. Long story as to why... The last two books I've had a competition with my friend. Won the first, lost the second. The 4th book I read in 4 hours, the 5th in 6 hours. I'm aiming to finish this in 4. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! runesmithie
Pcha, take it slow so you get the details and don't get bored going at it a second time because you know the general plot, but not details I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam. Also, please no out-and-out spoilers here. I think Neville will be the one who will die, for different reasons concerning wordings in the 5th book. (Not a spoiler, just a guess) EDIT: I will challenge anybody to a reading contest to see who will finish it first!
The_Sith
I'm getting it from Amazon.com (guaranteed release-day delivery). I sped through the other one in two days or so, and will probably do the same with this one. I'm just listening to the fifth one (got it on CD as well) on my iPod now - I really like hearing it read to you as well as reading it. :)

Mayjest
I think Dumbledores gonna do something dodgy. There have been a couple of hints in the last few books (normally right that the very end) which suggests he might not be all he seems. For instance, while Potter recounts how Voldemort came back, Dumbledore has something like triumph in his eyes. Read the book to get the exact wording. And neville is far too obvious. It's blatently gonna be Cho, right when he's on a date with her. One that he doesn't screw up. Adam007
Come to think of it, its been nearly a year since my last read. Im starting to forget the characters... Yeah, my memory always is so deteriorated of the stories before I read each one. All I remember of 5 is the ending. Usually while you read the newest book most of the stuff comes back to you. I just don't want to have to read 5 over again. That was one monster of a book.
Greatsilverwyrm
I've read the first 3 about 5 or 6 times now, the 4th book maybe 3 or 4, and the 5th book twice.. Am on my 4th/5th reading of the 4th book and will soon start on my 3rd reading of the 5th book in preperation for the new release :)

rocketman089
I just started my annual summer "series re-read" of them last week. I still have the the rest of the 4th and the 5th one to read before the 6th comes out. I swear they get better every single time. I really hope this new one is as good as The Goblet of Fire, the 5th one kind of dissapointed me. Also, I like to read my books at a pace where I can soak every little detail I can and grasp all the facets of the story. Speed reading as fast as I can just to beat someone else is not really my bag. Gamertag: King Arizona

Chaosbringer
I'm looking forawrd to it, I have fun reading it, my Older sister is a massive HP freak, and has it pre-ordered. Took me around 10 hours at a slow reading pace for book 5, I've quite enjoyed the entire series so far, and I hope this one won't dissapoint. I believe JK said that CoS (Chamber of Secrets) has alot of linking storying lines that are going it be in this book, so rereading it would be a nice idea. ~Chaosbringer

Mayjest
Who said anything about speed-reading? I read at my average pace - which happens to be about twice most of my friends, but that's not the point. With my last competition, the girl I was racing beat me, but she couldn't remember the name of the character that died! I won't mention it here, in case of spoilers. My annual re-read of all my series is half way through - I've already read through all my old Animorphs books (they were so cool, about 5 years ago when I read them). I might start the Potter books on Mon, I read the 5th one again a month ago, but I think I might back it up with 3 and 4 next week. Anyway: plot discussions! What do you think is gonna happen! Kielmccaul75
The last book had a global release time, if this one does as well so I can get it at the same time as you, I will gladly beat you... Erm I mean race you. ;) I look foward to the book, and I think it was here that someone posted an argument that lead me to believe the "Half-Blood Prince" would be Neville Longbottom, the huge hole in the theory though is Neville being pure blood lol ;) Yes, I am a nerd ;)
