December 16, 200817 yr My brother was watching news and told me about it and I didn't believe it, until I saw it. One word: EPIC! #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
December 16, 200817 yr i give preps for Bush though. To be kind of embarrassed at something so ridiculous being done to him, he thinks of a witty, funny joke to make it seem like a joke. brilliant. I seriously dont understand such people. He would rather be under Husein's rule? Where he is a dictator. At least Bush gave Iraq a foundation for a democratic nation.
December 16, 200817 yr Still, he went the wrong way about it. Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude? Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you? Camera guy: still laughing Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy Camera guy: runs away still laughing Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]! Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL!
December 16, 200817 yr I seriously dont understand such people. He would rather be under Husein's rule? Where he is a dictator. At least Bush gave Iraq a foundation for a democratic nation. Yes he did that, but is carpet bombing cities such as Baghdad where many civilians were killed the right way about it? He gave them democracy, but he took way to many lives in the process.
December 16, 200817 yr Eh, you can pitter-patter around it all you want. It's better now than it was then. Saying Iraqis were better off under the rule of Saddam is like saying Europe was doing better under Hitler. Genocide can't exactly be met with niceties. Full metal jackets can help more, followed by niceties. The Iraqi situation could have been handled better, but in retrospect everything appears to be handled badly. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
December 16, 200817 yr I seriously dont understand such people. He would rather be under Husein's rule? Where he is a dictator. At least Bush gave Iraq a foundation for a democratic nation. No, I'm sure he'd prefer to live in a land that wasn't a hornet's nest of sectarian violence, foreign terrorist instigators and was able to take care of itself though. I hate when people criticise the state Iraq has been in since 2003 and are met with the reply "would you rather Saddam"? It is such a poor argument, nobody really wants Saddam back but considering what Iraqi's have had to put up with over the last 5 years it is no wonder people are upset with the coalition. We toppled Saddam easily but we had no plan at all to bring any sort of order to Iraq after that, it was such a 'make it up as we go along' strategy. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
December 16, 200817 yr It's been said, but Bush has some fast reflexes. He actually looked ready to take on more too. He's a natural shoe dodger. Beer

He was still smiling and ready to keep talking, too. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

December 16, 200817 yr This thread made me lol. And yeah, when I saw that on the news it was a lolwut moment. P.S.
December 16, 200817 yr 1) Sorry to break it to you, but when u r trying to depose a dictator lives will probably be lost on both sides. Its just a fact ... 2) "It could've been dont a different way" ~ True, but all the decisions we made seemed like logical choices back then. We have recieved information on WMDs and we simply were not going to take any risks. And this dictator as well as the terrorist organization there needed to be taken out anyways. Again deposing Saddam and establishing a foundation for a democratic nation seems like a logical choice. But will things ever go ur way all the time? No! Unfortunately lives were lost and the people are still fighting for their independence... All people do is criticize Bush. I remember people were happy with Bush when they captured Hussein and now they only criticize him only for the fact that many things didnt go all our way. Things will happen like this and the crowd is first to blame Bush because he is the leader of this Iraq operation. 3) Im not saying everything went perfect, but things could've been worse and decisions that were made seemed logical its just that not everythinh will always go ur way.

Sorry I don't follow what you mean, are you saying the "would you rather Saddam" stuff is the only thing the very pro-war people can use in a debate now? I just don't want to miss the point of your post and argue against a point that you never made in the first place. December 16, 200817 yr 1) Sorry to break it to you, but when u r trying to depose a dictator lives will probably be lost on both sides. Its just a fact ... Yes. Civilian lives? Not necessarily. Except they underestimated the forces they were fighting and failed to take them out. But will things ever go ur way all the time? No! Unfortunately lives were lost and the people are still fighting for their independence... All people do is criticize Bush. December 16, 200817 yr but all the decisions we made seemed like logical choices back then. Yes, bombing citizens areas with carpet bombs which are uncontrollable and unpredictable once detonated was a great idea. Definitely logic was used there, probably went on the 1/2 ratio, for every 1 person who posed a threat we can kill 2 civilians :| Or how about the Daisy Cutter bomb, with a blast radius 300 meters wide. Now, please define how 5 years ago, not so long ago, seemed logical at all? I believe you'll be hard pressed to.

I just don't want to miss the point of your post and argue against a point that you never made in the first place. Yeah, not really trying to make much of a point. The make up and go along followed extreme confusion. Terrible information, an unexpectedly fast fall of Saddam's regime, and other variables combined to leave the coalition just wondering "wtf just happened." Can't say it's been handled the best, but I guess it could have been much worse. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

December 16, 200817 yr Its been all over the news here lately, since it happened. All I could think of is that quote from the Austin Powers movies: "Who throws a shoe? Honestly!" - Austin Powers Yeah, I thought of that too. Found this on the Internet by the way: [hide=GIF image; could lag]http://thebronxzoo.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/bushpower-iyankeesblog.gif[/hide] Protip: It wasn't an assassination attempt.
