HugeBrain
When you become a member for the first time there seems unlimited activities for you to enjoy. New quests, mini games, weapons, armour, and the heavenly bank that seems to have unlimited space. However, when a member tries to return to being a nonmember that bank space becomes a disaster. Either having to go through life without the ability to bank, or the tough decision of dropping all the hard worked for members' items. The unwillingness to drop all these valuable members' items is one of RuneScape membership hooks. Have you ever been faced with this decision? If so what was the result? If not, what do you think the result might have been? Post Your Thoughts Here! It would be greatly appreciated if all submissions would be officially credited to Huge Brain. How much is your account worth to you? xSxqPowerx
Yes, I had to be a free player for a few months back a long time ago. I chose to drop most of my members stuff, however I had nothing worth much back then, and I hadn't totally filled my bank anyway. If it happened now I would be pretty much unable to play. mister_moocky
Assuming you get duplicates of tools, weapons, and armour, and a placeholder for raw matterials, going from p2p to f2p can actually get you more bank space as f2p. That said, one mis-click and you'll have to buy another month of members. quit
saif
you could keep place holders for the used 60 or so f2fp items... idk why people don't do this
kolko
Because one misclick could destroy the plan :ohnoes:
HugeBrain
Creating 60 or so bank placeholders can be expensive and may be ineffective. You have to predict everything that may be of use in f2p. Also you do have to hope that you don't accidently misclick.... I withdrew all my money once because of an extra zero, so that screwed me up. It would be greatly appreciated if all submissions would be officially credited to Huge Brain. How much is your account worth to you? asianboy7o7
you can place money in the ge like buying a lot of big bones for min and basically merching them and selling them for med/high as they will sell same thing with lobsters, tuna, and swordfish its only about 40 at max things you'll actually need for f2p though i keep my bank organized and having gems, bars already there its quite easy to jump into f2p
GGunitfan10
Because one misclick could destroy the plan :ohnoes: I bought like 1k anchovy pizzas and 500 1/2 anchovy pizzas and I wanted to check the value of them and Instead of with draw all but one I clicked withdraw all on both... So now I am stuck with lobbies or swordies for food unless I buy some anchovy pizza and leave my completed offer in the g.e. and withdraw as items. But that still sucks if I want to be done, but I have some left... ^^40 things max? Mele gear range gear mage gear crafting mining firemaking woodcutting(kinda same as fm) cooking and random events that take up aton of space and 1 pile for cash. I have 486 items in my bank And there are still some things I forgot to pack into it before F2P

lostwoodlink
If you know you're going to be F2P for an extended period of time(or even forever but who wouldn't want to be a member?) why don't you sell off your member stuff. Besides it would give you more money to work with. Canineteeth
I once had my membership accidently run out, ughhhh, had to walk around with black mask, torags top + bottom, and whip everywhere. Yes, bank space is a horrible thing for P2P -> F2P.
Toad
tbh it doesnt really cost anything more to give members more space, or f2p, maybe a few bytes here and there i suppose for millions of accounts it does add up but its part of the marketing i guess my sister had that dilemna the other day, so she signed up again rofl. Zierro
I've never had to unsubscribe yet so it doesn't apply to me. If I did, I would probably just mine iron and coal on F2P the whole time so I wouldn't even need to worry about banking much.
Patr1ck
Due to a bug in the system I was off of members for a few days a little while back. It was virtually impossible to play, heck I never have more then 5 or so extra bank spaces and I'm a member -.-
Bashful
dont see any problem going from p2p to f2p.. the extra bank space is good. usually i just do firemaking or woodcutting in f2p....
Opieous
I alternate being a member and f2p. I've just got 2-3 stuff of all the items i'll need, armour, food, ores, rings, moulds, cowhide, needle, thread, clay, softcleay, bucket, axe, pickaxe etc.(u get the picture)... Never had a problem... 99 Woodcutting | 99 Constitution | 99 PrayerScapin since July 05'
Romy
You know, there's an easy way to make this bank a lot better than before! When you find out your membership is running out soon you're doing 1 of 2 things: 1.Empty your bank! sell everything! 2.The better way is just fill your bank with every single item you can think off, and atleast 2 of each: Food, logs, tinderboxes, armor, weapons, ores, bars, heck even ashes, just fill you bank with everything, and when getting back to f2p, your bank had GROWN instead of having these problems you speak of. 3.Do both 1+2.
SwreeTak
I have never gone through that progress, and I'm very happy that I haven't. Because for me it would mean a lot of dropping and selling, mostly selling I think though, because I have quite some stuff which can be sold without too much work. I think I would be able to go through this progress without losing too much, but surerly I would lose quite a lot. So I will stay member :) Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
Kimberly
Well they have to have their hooks in you somehow. It's a very, very effective technique if you think about it. As several people have said, it's very easy to misclick and withdraw everything at once. And if you do that, and it's something irreplaceable...well, they just got another 7 USD to pad their wallets with.
Obtaurian
I'll be f2p in three days, indefinitely. I'm going to mine nonstop. I don't know what else to do. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
Romy
I'll be f2p in three days, indefinitely. I'm going to mine nonstop. I don't know what else to do. You should arrange your bank, to fit to f2p. Also, if you're not planning on becoming a member again any time soon, I suggest training Agility purly, this is the only skill that has any effect on f2p. The_Maddest
When I turned F2P (a long time ago) I just dropped and sold everything. Alternating between P2P and F2P must be really, really hard though IMO. To fully enjoy P2P you need loads of items which take ages to get/need quests for.
