Giordano
Its in one of the commandments, the one about adultery. ;) And western civilization morals grow from those commandments. 1_man_army
Its in one of the commandments, the one about adultery. ;) And western civilization morals grow from those commandments. Who mentioned adultery? Sex =/= adultery. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
Giordano
Its in one of the commandments, the one about adultery. ;) And western civilization morals grow from those commandments. Who mentioned adultery? Sex =/= adultery. Theoretically you're supposed to have sex with one loved one, after marriage, that you cannot divorce from. Being naked is connected with sex, which unless its your wife/husband, its bad. Hey I'm saying the facts for what Harrinator asked, whether I believe in them or not is a different story. ;) "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Omar
Do any of you think the effects of the commandments could be reversed somewhere in the future? Matt: You want that eh? Orpheus
I don't think It'll reverse, since humanity sucks as is. Too many people fear change. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.

megakiller32
Its flipping religion, and if people just took the time to think for a moment how so much is based on religion, and disregard a whole lot of it, the world would be a lot more...futuristic. Actually then again, it would be like in one of those sci-fi books, lie We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. Luckily those influences are losing their grip on society. Where I live (Holland) nakedness is getting more and more accepted, for example on tv. At least it's a hell lot better than prudist america. Giordano
Well, it doesn't seem broken to you, but honestly, I've often felt like going to gym class naked. I think each of us can find our own meanings in the Ten Commandments. Like as for me, adultery isn't sex before marriage. Its cheating on your loved one or hiring a prostitute. I follow it as a guideline, not a strict code. In that case, for the topic of nakedness I really wouldn't care, as long as its in certain places. Lenticular_J
No one wants to see your tiny [bleep]. There, I said it. Egg-sactly. If you want a natural view point, people feel safer with clothes on. Technically, you are safer. We don't have much in the way of armor to protect ourselves naturally - many people even flip the bird to their body hair. Clothes make us feel safe and cuddly. Of course, I go commando and I also sleep naked - and I usually don't wear clothes in my house. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
ixfd64
Nudity is generally considered a social taboo. However, there are people that think otherwise. Being naked is connected with sex, which unless its your wife/husband, its bad. I think the idea of sex only after marriage is crap. I don't understand why you would marry someone knowing there's a chance you two aren't sexually compatible or can't fulfill each others' needs in that aspect. Sure you can have the rest of it covered but sex is fairly important in relationships. Internet Marketing For Newbies

Dizzle229
I've been in debates about this on another forum I think. A big argument against it says "It's a sin against God." Another person replied "Why is it a sin for someone to show off what God gave them?" Shut the other guy up pretty quick. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
