(Duel Arena) What is wrong with using prayer???

I am a level 92, and after whooping a lvl 110s butt (with 99 str) twice and than proceeding to kill a lvl 100, I get called a noob, a nerd and many other things for using prayer. I go to the duel arena to have fun, not to be told what to do. And if these guys wanted to not use prayer, they would have turned the option to use it off. So now I am stumped. What makes it so wrong to use prayer when I have the ability to do so?

If it's in the game and it's legal to use, then there's no problem with it.

Thats pretty much why. But don't worry, I can help, here is a mini guide on how to not be a "noob":

 

Step 1: Don't use prayer

 

Step 2: For the love of god don't use food

 

Step 3: Let your opponent hit you first, its cool to do this and its a nice touch.

 

Step 4: Oh ya, don't wear armour, it hinders your opponents ability to kill you fast.

 

Step 5: Don't use specials at all, only your opponents can, make no attempt to kill your opponent, winning is for noobs. I really suggest wielding flowers, or a rubber chicken, or a spork can work if you're lower then your opponent.

 

Step 6: Don't kill people stronger then you, only fight people lower leveled then you, and if/when they win, call them a nerd/noob, and generally harass them over winning.

 

 

 

But seriously, praying/eating/using potions are all fine, unless you agree before the fight to not eat, use armour or pray. If you agree I personally would call you a noob/coward if you went back on your word.

if you're referring to using protect from melee, then its logical that the high lvls would get mad at you. oh, and if your solution was to cancel the option to use prayer, they wouldn't be able to use piety thus, decreasing their potential to hit higher. since you're using cheap tactics like protecting yourself so wouldn't get pwned by other people, then i have no sympathy for you. sorry, those high lvls worked hard for to get 99 str, and they didn't get it so they can duel noobs like you who would rely on the stupid sword above your head just to not lose. :roll:

I wouldn't fight a person that prays protection prayers, except for Veracers because that's smart.

An advantage is an advantage. I think it's a double standard to disallow people from using advantages while you are clearly doing so too. Unless they take off all their armor and kick their enemy, I don't think they have much room to talk.

I got 43-60 in one night - 60-70 in the next night (prayer)

 

 

 

Total, maybe 6 hours.

 

 

 

99 Strength took longer and was harder to achive then 70 prayer. Prayer is not harder to acheive. :wall:

The point Dizzle was making is that Prayer is harder to raise than Strength so it should be just as justifiable to "show off your Prayer".

I only go to the duel arena to test out a new weapon. And it's annoying when I pot up and the person prays.
