what 6 words would you ban from media usage?

Featured Replies

Can I ban a phrase? If so, it would be "Some people say.." I've heard people use this as a disguise for "my opinion is..."

If not..

"Unamerican" is all I can think of.

It'll be against my ideas to ban any sort of words.

the, of, to, and, a, in.

If those words were banned I from media usage it would inevitably crash, the English language would modify or people would try to struggle to not use any of them.

Either situation would epic Lulz.

The media needs to focus less on stupid Holywood peoples and more on the fact that people are dying in Iraq. O.K, its tragic that John Travoltas son died, but if it were say, my son, he would not appear on the news...

The media needs a new set of values...

On a serious note, I would rather they ban the word Epic. They use it way too often. Epic story, epic disaster, epic proportions, epic this, epic that. The list goes on. Widen up your vocab buddy.

...Well, I suppose America never had any press freedom anyway.

I wouldn't ban words or names, just anything to do with a famous person's personal life. I don't care.

so i took the article's words. so what? for sake of example i think it's appropriate. i agreed with every word that was put there. is something wrong with that? obviously if i made a thread about it i seemed to have loved the news story. so just what anybody would do with a topic with what they like, they try to mimic them. i read the article a while ago and i didn't have it infront of me. if you want me to give credit to the artcle, then fine. i will. but if you happened to attend my high school you'd find that these words are thrown around every day. my classmates are brainwashed by this material and i don't have to explain myself for my views on my opinion on media usage. it's quite the annoyance so please stop. this is not only directed at you and for everybody else. you can criticize them but just please respect peoples opinions.
