Toad
Are these thought out? Ever stopped and thought, are skillcape colours related to their skill, theres some that i cant really think are but some do. Mining - Rock colour, Trim = Rune ore colour. Slayer - Death colour, Trim = Blood. Woodcutting - Tree colour, Triim = Leaf. Thieving - Purple - Represents wealth, Trim = Stealth? Farming - Organic/natural, Trim = Same Firemaking - Flames? Although some don't add up like some of the combat ones, but ARE the skill capes thought out?
Le_Fay
I think some of them are, yes. Some just seem to be random. ^ Blog
Shelby_Polo
I'd defiantly say the Skill Cape colors were not just picked out of nowhere. You're right they do have something to do with the skill. My ranged cape colors (green and orange) don't have a strong connection with the skill, but then again, the colors feel so right with the skill. (probably because they match Rnager Boots and Robin Hood Hat colors. Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here!
n_odie
Cooking, pies have purple and red berry fillings. Or it could mean 3rd degree burns on the hands. RIP MichaelangelopolousThanks to cowboy14 for the pimp sig!
Viv
i think the skillcapes they wanted to represent wealth have a gold trim on them most of the ones that are buyable do con herb smithing crafting fletching firemaking summon rc-you make ur money with this fishing is gold trim too maybe goldfish and the color is of the water i agree i cant think of anything for the combat ones lol maybe agility- blue first place blue ribbon in a marathon red-blood/sweat/determination to get thier i never thought of this before i just thought "ooh that cape looks nice!" sparky1_2007
i really wish that attack trim would be something other than gold. it looks really cheesy with red for the base color. something menacing like black :) retired 12-31-
Kenneh
Thieving - Purple - Represents wealth, Trim = Stealth? 99 cook means im rich then?! Yeah, some are thought out but some are just random for shure

Anyways, yeah most skillcape colours have some thought put in them. But there are a lot of green ones: Strength Range Fletch Herblore Farming quit
AlexDT
My only cape is Defence, which is pale blue. I have no idea why. I guess with something like Construction, you'd want warm and opulent colours, whereas defence is more a conceptual thing. The best I can come up with is that the Australian police uniform is a mixture of blue and white, and they're defenders of the people, if you will... Yeah, it's a stretch.
Bauke
Well, naturally some of them are random. It's hard to decide for a single colour for, let's say, agility, or runecrafting. But as long as we have 24 different capes, it's fine to me. Hunterowner
i dont know if any of you have taken art, but i literally just noticed that the strength cape (t) has complimentary colors of red and green which makes it stand out. I will check and see if any more capes have complimentary colors =] Complimentary colors: Two colors on the color wheel which show oppisite shades. Ex:Red and green (strength cape(t)); Purple and yellow (nothing =p)
bloody_scife
The red and green on strength capes always looked kinda stupid to me. Like Christmas. But yeah, I'm guessing that most of the skillcape colours have to do with their skills... makes sense. 7,436th to 99 fishing on July 13, 2008 [hide=Quotes that I lol'd at]the day the fantastic four come into runescape, i will eat my socks. what kind of topic is this. ihaven't read it yetbut i now it must be stupid.[/hide]

ChrisxImtx
I'm sure some of them are thought out, Firemaking for one is a great example. Okay maybe not that great since it's almost common sense to have a firemaking cape those colors but others like Woodcutting, Farming, Mining and some others that you listed were probably thought out. I just wish they'd thought a bit more for some of the capes, I just hate the Cooking and Strength colors.

Leoo
Strength is easy to figure out. ladycai
I'm just wondering how mage becomes blue. White and black makes sense, like white mages and black mages, but aqua ones? The woodcutting one matches almost completely as compared to the fletching one. Where do you see yellow arrows or green feathers?
