It's not like they gonna give away dragon full helm...

or are they? are they?!

That actually kinda came to my head when I saw it. Some sort of super secret 1/500000 item that's untradeable or someone would've found it on the GE but has awesome usage. Conspiracy? Yes. Insane? Yes.

Just to point this out, but usually when there's a ridiculously valuable, ridiculously rare item, the Knowledge Base article will say so. Case in point:

To gamble your points, simply select one of the three gamble options and you will receive a mystery item - this could be almost anything, from steel arrows to a dragon chainbody.
Not to mention with boss monsters:
The Kalphite Queen drops the most sought after chainbody in the game: the dragon chainbody.
The Chaos Elemental' date=' awesome and powerful as he is, occasionally drops a dragon two-handed sword.[/quote']
Mithril dragons are known to drop dragon full helms.
Metal dragons drop dragon legs and dragon skirts; the higher the level of dragon the better your odds are of getting some.

True, but didn't MMG said that there will be some secret stuff put in the game that they won't announce?

It's already been disproved as a fake. Can we move on. :shock:

Oh, I wasn't speaking specifically about the fake image. That much was pretty obvious, really. I was just talking about whether there's an uber-rare drop, just in general. I think there probably isn't.

What he meant was that updates are going to be more of a surprise from now on, since they're doing away with the BTS feature. He wouldn't have been talking about the Game Guide leaving out information on new content. The quote in question:

We are also planning to change the way we communicate with you. We are going to be bringing back Development Diaries but making them more regular and focused on some of the different projects we're currently working on for you. These will replace Behind the Scenes, which we have found a creative constraint on our developers as the promised content has to come out as communicated in order to avoid disappointment and prevented us from surprising you with better or different content. It has also led to compromises in quality that we've not been happy with and, most importantly, pieces of content being released which you, our players, have not enjoyed as much as you should. A side benefit of this is that we'll be releasing more content which will be a complete surprise to you, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!

Yeah, the loot I've been getting is pretty poor as well. Is it just me or is the only thing worth investing in terms of points from this the Slayer pets? Everything else can yield better results from fighting slayer monsters or from Pest Control.

I think it's meant to be more like Castle Wars, where the game itself is its own reward. And I guess that's not all bad, since it'll deter freeloaders I s'pose.

I personally find that if you like this minigame, it's more worthwhile to choose gambling. They give lots of expensive second ingredients for Summoning.

If you're playing this game for XP (dear god, why?!) then combat exp is very good. Apparently it's roughly 70k exp per hour when the stat you're redeeming pts in is over lvl 88 (as explained to me by Evil Mumm Ra.) if you can win each game. That's comparable to DT Skeles or Ape Atoll, with no risk of losing items.

As for charms...well, I suppose it'd work. But I'd never do it. :?

well, i was wrong on that slightly ninane, at 88 attack i got 6.3k exp per point. which is like 57k per hour, if i win all 3 games. still quite good considering i don't train that the godly exp places, whereas if my points would have been spent on defence (99) i'd have gotten 76k exp per hour, winning all 3 games.

as for gamble loot, average gp seems to be about 20k. i got the following from 11 gambles:

20k cash

20k cash

5 graahk fur

42 ogre coffin keys

9 larupia fur

22 unicorn horns

22 unicorn horns

39 wolf bones

18 potato cacti

7 carved evil turnip

28 vampire dust

total gp from a price check was 249k and something, rounded up to 250k. i used the ogre coffin keys instead of selling them, and broke pretty much even with the ge price of the keys, after repairing the few damaged armours i got, as well as the damaged sword.

Yeah, 20k seems to be the rough average for the gamble. I got 6 marigolds out of it.

And for the "per hour" experience calculations - why not save up to 100 points and see where that gets you? I thought it said somewhere that there was a bonus for collecting 100 points, which means it takes anywhere from as low as 12 hours to as many as 35 hours to get (assuming you win every game or lose every game, respectively). That would definitely have an affect on per hour calculations. You'd be looking at 600k+ experience from the standard trade-in, plus whatever the bonus turns out to be.

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007

First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

[hide=Runescape.com SoulWars Article- Rewards section]

You will receive a number of 'zeal points' based on your performance in Soul Wars, at the rate of 3 points for a victory, 2 for a draw, and 1 for a defeat. You can trade these in with Nomad for a variety of rewards:

* Experience

You can claim experience in Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic, Prayer or Slayer. One zeal point is worth a set amount of experience depending on your level in that skill.

* Charms

Charms of any colour are available, the number you can claim depends on your combat skills' levels.

* Other

Most options here are new Slayer pets, resurrected from remains you bring along. If you bring a stuffed or unstuffed trophy of a crawling hand, cockatrice, basilisk, kurask or abyssal demon, Nomad will then supply you with a pet of that type. See Summoning - Pets for more information. You can also purchase a 'gamble'. The gamble option will grant you a random reward - there is a wide range of possible rewards, but you'll never know just what you're going to get.

No mention of a bonus per 100 points. I think you're confusing SW with PC.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Definately fake if an elysian was added anywhere it'd be to another monster, as they have with dragon chains and such, truth be told it's not time to nerf the price of those or godswords, only when theres something better coming out, will they nerf the prices of those.

I really wish jagex would at least release a list of the rare gamble loots so we stop having faking losers causing panic in the rs community.

[hide=]

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.
