I have gone "lmfao" a couple times, but that's when it was outrageously funny, and made me actually laugh.

It really has

I actually (once) said "L-O-L" in real life  Usually when I come across something funny I chuckle lightly or have somewhat of a grin on my face. :)

A few times though I will laugh realy hard.

lmfao=I am really laughing...

lol > lol!/LOL! > rofl/lmao > ahahahahaha

At this moment I'm rofl at this post, no idea why though.

Heh, i'll rarely laugh when saying lol. Its just one of those "paying attention" things like nad said. Perhaps its used whenever you are talking about something that isn't serious, but isnt funny either. Its just light humour I guess. So yeah, I rarely ever laugh when I use lol. Lmao is the only other one I use really, and thats used for something that makes me smile, or even get a short laugh out of. If not, i'll still use lmao for anything meant to be really funny.

When i type it, i sort of smile. but sometimes i do really laugh. I dont use LMAO, or ROFL... just to long.

Preatty weird though, When ever i hear people laughing, then think about what they said in my head, the laugh registers as LOL, and in my head i hear a kind a "lul" sound. Better the hearring hahahahahhahaaaahahahahah , in my head.

I often use lol so people realise i'm not serious ;) Like over MSN i'll say "your a homo. Lol"

Without the lol it is offensive. With it I am just messing around :)

"lol" is one of the most used words in my friends oral vocabulary :?

actually...i never say "lol" to people

i say "rofl" alot... ...but im not laughing..i say that to imply a slight chuckle

but when i say "lol"...im usually grinning...

I think most people use lol when it's funny in their mind and use lmao when they actually laugh out loud.

How does a profession differ from an occupation?

I usually never really laugh out loud when I say lol. It just means I found something funny and humorous. If I actually do laugh out loud, I'll say something along the lines of "seriously laughing irl", or like the above poster said, lmao, rofl, etc.

Usually I don't laugh.

Occasionaly I'll laugh when I use lmao / rofl but that's about it.

When they are in caps, then I acually did laugh :P

I can only remember like once or twice actually laughing out loud, and typing lol.

I usually just use it like everyone else, acknowledging someone saying something funny, or to show that I'm not serious. And I only use lol and heh. Never ROFL or LMAO or anything like that. I think those are annoying.

I saw lol alot in real life.

You prenounce (sp) it..

That annoys me when people acually say that irl  .

I think I only have laughed a couple times at something when I typed "lol". Other wise I usually just have nothing better so say, or I think it is midly amusing

agree

Sometimes I use 'lol' if there's nothing else to say or if it's somewhat funny in my mind. Although with different friends, 'lol' can mean different things. With some friends I rarely use 'lol', instead I use 'haha' and put a smiley in there to indicate that I really find it funny, 'haha' without a smiley kinda looks sarcastic to me. Then if I find something really funny that makes me chuckle, I use 'lol!' and for something even funnier I use 'LOL', I never capitalize 'haha' though. I almost never use 'lmao' or 'rofl', just find them kind of annoying.

Thanks for the sig, Runesmithie :)

RIP Steve Irwin

I usually use the as filler. When I cant think of anything else to say or respond and if it was something slightly amusing i'll use "lol" ":D"or "rofl" if it was a bit funnier than for a "lol". I usually say something like "omg lol im laughing irl hehe" if i do actually laugh out loud.

I think "lol" in my head when i hear something funny in real life and sometimes its really hard to resist actually saying "lol" :D

I tend not to say it a lot, but if i'm feeling too lazy to type "haha" i might throw it in there. If i use 'lol' i probably won't be laughing out loud, if i find something really funny i'll usually just type "hahahahah" or something similar.

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
