August 7, 201015 yr Some guy going 2-8 managed to triple his score with a very lucky Javelin... He aimed for the Pave Low, it missed some how and dropped straight to the ground... wtf. This is the reason why I'm going to play this less until BO comes out. Oh and bad servers. Anyone warping around lately? :/
August 7, 201015 yr You know, the MW2 community is one of the few communities where I can say "I went 20-0 today," and immediately get jumped with insults and namecalling. why is this community so bad? :( Eight Bananas, MD.
August 7, 201015 yr If you're on about TIF, because everyone hates the game and just jumps on the hate wagon because they automatically assume that you noobtubed to do good. Yes, I am generalising. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
August 7, 201015 yr The majority of people suck at the game and immediately label anyone with any real skill as "0mg hax0r". 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
August 7, 201015 yr You know, the MW2 community is one of the few communities where I can say "I went 20-0 today," and immediately get jumped with insults and namecalling. why is this community so bad? :(The 16+ label on the game is a lie. I've encountered people who sound frankly like 10-13 years old. Fair bit of mature (voice wise) players though.
August 7, 201015 yr It's not the players fault for using noobfriendly weapons, though. It's Infinity Ward's fault for putting them in. The grenade launcher, rpg, knife runners etc. are just total [cabbage] and shouldn't even be available for players to use. Click here to check out my Youtube channel!
August 7, 201015 yr The good thing is you've found a way to feel morally superior to me.XKCD, nice try though. :shades: In any case I still enjoy the game, I think the dislike for it has been extremely blown out of proportion. Maybe it's just because I don't take video games so [bleep]ing seriously.
August 7, 201015 yr Agreed, people take these things way too seriously. All the killstreaks people complain about? They're the reason I still play this and not CoD 4. Single Player campaign blew away the original as well, not that it wasn't great too. "But a Russian invasion doesn't make sense!" Right, well the enemies in the first game amounted to USA vs. Developing middle eastern nation, and SAS & Russia vs. rebels. The enemy needs to be an actual threat, and this was the first time going against a real powerful army. Seems like the only people that complain about this game are the people that throw the controller when they get killed. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
August 7, 201015 yr I borrowed it off a friend, and am returning it to him tommorow. CoD4 is superior.

Seems like the only people that complain about this game are the people that throw the controller when they get killed.Killstreaks promote camping and also make for pretty darn easy kills. Don't even get me started on Care Packages. Also, don't tell me you hate it when you spawn in an open field and get hit by a Predator Missile which you couldn't avoid. Things like this are freaking broken. Getting spawn trapped and getting killed by that Chopper Gunner over and over again even before you can shoot missiles at it. In CoD4 they was lame (especially considering that you hardly had anything to shoot down choppers with) but they overdid it in MW2. IW pretty much overdid everything in MW2. The weapons, the perks, killstreaks, deathstreaks. Creating so many options in these categories will often lead to a few of them being overpowered. That's exactly what happened. Also the campaign in CoD4 and MW2 were both not very outstanding in comparison with other games. The milked out setting (Russian being the evil guys), the bad story, the vehicle sections which didn't feel right etc. It's still pretty decent but not all that great. Seems like the only people that complain about this game are the people that throw the controller when they get killed. I complain about the game because it's a bad game. (and it's fun to troll and argue about the game :P) It has nothing to do with frustration (like I said, I pirated the game, thought it sucked and stopped playing. I'm not like some people in this thread who [bleep] about it all day yet continue to play) and everything to do with the fact that the game just gets dumb. It's dumb that someone can call in a helicopter to shoot down people in a small scale FPS. It's dumb someone can launch a nuke in a small scale FPS. If this was an FPS where there were more players about (more like BF2) I would understand things such as helicopters. Even then though I think my issue is that they give you a helicopter that takes no skill to actually use but then takes a lot of skill/adjustment to get rid of. If they made it so that people would have to fly around the helicopter they got? Wouldn't be so bad. As it is a person can get a lucky kill streak by chilling in a corner and then call down all hell with a press of the button. I play an FPS to shoot other people, not be worried about an AI helicopter gunning me down with laser pin-point accuracy. Honestly as far as it goes the only people not complaining about MW2 are the ultra-casual players who don't really care about balance or aspects of skill in the game. They just want to run around, level up their prestige and get awesome scores to brag about. *shrug*
August 8, 201015 yr Killstreaks promote camping - that's [cabbage], there are campers in every game. Herp derp killstreaks are overpowered - turn on Cold Blooded They do promote camping though. Yes, most FPS games have people camping in them (to different degrees of effectiveness). However killstreaks simply make camping a lot more attractive as an option because they reward you for not dying. In a normal game camping might get you a kill every now and then and then a lot of down time. In MW2 you can be getting the same kills/minute as you would in the other but once you get 4-5 in a row or so you can start going to town and racking up the kills. Meanwhile in the other game the camper is still simply slowly stacking up kills. Also my solution to killstreaks was to not play the game. Much more effective than any perk
August 8, 201015 yr I agree with you Nadril, it IS fun to troll on game threads  Anyway, I agree that too much of it seems to have gotten delivered to the wrong address on its way to Bad Company 2, rather than getting pissed when something [developmentally delayed]ed happens, I just think its hilarious. Then again, even I'll admit that I would have probably returned it after beating the campaign if I'd actually payed the $60 for it. Get back here so I can rub your butt.

I thought it was dumb, yeah, and that is why I stopped playing it. It is funny that even bad players can sit in a corner and get awesome killstreaks. It's funny that bad players can think they're good at FPS games because they "own "at MW2. :)
August 8, 201015 yr It's not funny that they "own" at it. It's funny when they brag about their "skills" and then fail to provide a video when asked. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
August 8, 201015 yr Really if you want to sum up why the killstreaks and game are bad you can just look at Care Packages. Get a 4 or even 3 killstreak and you could randomly get anything up to a Chopper Gunner or AC-130. Such a terrible idea to have that kind of randomness in a game, all it does is give the bad players a chance to use the crazy killstreaks, so that they don't trade the game in and instead buy DLC.

August 8, 201015 yr I've really gotten into MW2 recently. It's actually my brother's game and account, but I love to play when he's not playing. He's really, really good, so he gets kinda mad 'cause I lower his KD so much. :shades: I'm getting better though. Finally able to pull off a sentry gun at least once every game. :D I really love using the Intervention or Barret with stopping power and FMJ. I also love using an UMP with a silencer. And, of course, knifing classes are pro. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

August 8, 201015 yr I don't see the appeal of this game, in comparison to Modern Warfare 1 you just got a little better graphics and some new guns, it looks exactly the same and missions will get old quickly.Basically its just a boring and generic FPS with nothing innovative about it. Its exactly the same as Counter Strike and all the other war games people have made. Edit: This thread & this thread should be merge, If there is three different games than yes but if their is seven of the same games we should merge a bit. [Falador tavern]
