GE in every bank?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have access to the Grand Exchange in every bank? I personally think it would be very productive since then you dont need to teleport there, sell and buy whatever you need then teleport/walk back to wherever you were or are going.

That sort of defeats the purpose of calling it the "Grand" Exchange.

 

but, meh, if you can collect items in banks, I don't see why you can't put up offers.

Can't think of much else to say, it would definitely help, but would probably make the whole trading thing to easy, you could get 2 mill and go from 1-99 cooking without leaving the rouges den...

I think it would be annoying, there would be too many options in the banks. Think about it, currently at the ge they have 4 bankers, 4 GE operators. If they put the GE into banks, especially ones with a single banker, there would have to be 9 options for each banker, and like 15 if you clicked the cell:

It is just way too many options, the GE is convient enough as it is, how often do you really need to visit it?

I agree. It would be nice, but GE has already helped us with trading enough. Incorporating GE into every bank would just make the game too simple.

what if they gave us the option to buy and sell in banks, but gave the GE special fetures...like sets, or only being able to do one buy/sell from a bank at the time and 6 at the GE?

That would be an exchange site that nobody would use, except for a few special occasions. That wouldn't improve the trading system. If you incorporate GE functionality in banks, might aswell go all the way.

And that would basically cause the GE to be deserted. Jagex won't do it, although it would be nice if they did.

I would appreciate it if the bankers would let you unset your items when you collected them - seems to me that letting bankers do that wouldn't take away much functionality from the GE, after all, its just taking items out of a box :P

Having it in one location is just a bit annoying to me, even if they set up smaller exchanges (say 1 or 2 slots available at a time) at some of the banks would make things a whole lot better imo. Can't see why it wouldn't work in the context of the game: if you traded in your noted items then it would fit into the game world just like people trade certificates rather than actual items in the real world. Heck, if the games banks can teleport your items to any location I can't think why they woulnd't rent the magic out to the exchange. Throw on a convenience commission (5% or something for not using the main exchange) and you've got a game balance and a nice bit of 'flavour' added into the game.

GE in every bank - lazy wishes. Runescape might be getting more of a lazy-play , teleports to everywhere and all. GE in every bank would show that it's becoming more of a lazy play (what kind of intrest would you find when you could get it all in one bank just standing there)?

Then there would have to be some update to the Grand Exchange to make it worth going to once in a while. Maybe easy access to price graphs?

For example, if you wanted armour, weapons, and other goods, use the ge in Varrock, but if you wanted to buy cow hides, ores, grimy herbs (unids) or feathers use the one in Falador, for yews, magic logs, or bow strings go to Seers ect. Impractical, but more like the 'old days'.

that would be cool...but very complicated and hard to manage...right now i only have tele runes to varrock since thats the only place i ever need to tele...plus where would Jagex find a place in all those cities to put a massive ge?

I think it's important to keep things in perspective. At one time, you had to hop to world 1 and walk around through hundreds of people, spamming items they were buying and selling. The GE has made gathering materials, so much easier than it once was, why should it be made easier still? If you follow that line of thought further, why not be able to set up GE offers without even going to a bank at all?

 

 

 

The game becomes pointless if you are constantly going to make everything faster and easier. A certain challenge has to be maintained. Having to teleport to varrock to use the GE, is just as reasonable, as ore not being mined directly beside a bank.
