ElkNight
Its more of just the thrill of Adventure when you grafitti, marking your artwork in a different way rather then painting a canvas, or making clothing. I personally wanna learn howto design grafitti properly, not your lame permenant markers and labeling a telegraph pole with the area code of your location (lame-arse gangstas...) but the art itself and even make a good use out of it. Graffiti is amazing. But it gets a really bad rep from lame taggers and toys. Good writers are amazing. Things like backjumps are just awesome if done good. People just look at all the negatives of it and dont pay attention at all to the amazing art work. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! Some places where I live if you tell the owner of a building what you plan to do, some of them will give you the go ahead. Get back here so I can rub your butt. Nenga
Life is rather boring. There is always THE GAME. Though I have no real interesting skills. I play games so I can get wrapped up in the story and forget about this boring world. I guess that's my way of hoping something more exciting will happen. Ponies! Happysniff
Yes, regular life is too dull. Thats why every once in awhile you have to do something fun. Ever been arrested? I don't think that's a very good adventure. 1. Get arrested. 2. Go to jail. 3. Get reped by Bubba. 4. Get shanked to death. What an adventure. Mmmm, my idea of heaven. Oh, and [bleep] you life mage. ember3579
Hey, trapical. Good to have you back. I find life very boring in my area, but this is mainly because I don't have the ability to do anything on my own. I have a feeling that once I move on to college for my chosen vocation (I'm not sure what the actual name of it is in the books, but roboticist), I'll be able to have more fun. While I probably wouldn't (more like can't) do some of the things that trapical does, I'd definitely be into paintball and various robot competitions (I'm focusing on combat type robots), and perhaps various combat sports, or even some personal training. I'm just hoping that there's more than a few combat junkies in the college town I'm moving to. If not, well, I'm going to have to be a little more creative. trapical
Meh, I'm not really for graffiti. My motto is no matter how many laws I may break, no matter how careless I seem, never, NEVER, do harm. I mean, I'm out there to have fun, and getting people angry at what I did can only hurt me. I have "broken into" more buildings than I can count but all I do is look around. Thats it. I'v picked open lock boxes in the administration building with hundreds of dollars of bills inside them, I look into it, laugh, and lock it back up. Thats a dangerous path to go down, you need to have adamant self control when you do what me and my friends do. My roommate for example has the rule "Only yummies and memories", meaning at the very most he will eat a cookie, or muffin, or drink a soda that he finds. Nothing else. Ever been arrested? I'm in med school, hardly a felon. Nah, me and my friends are well practiced in what we do, are extremly cautious, and always have an alibi. In my half decade of lock picking there have only been two close calls. The high school prank I was in, which I learned from; and this one incident last August where I had to dive under an oak desk as a janitor flipped on the lights in the room I was in. I probably could have remained hidden but decided to just get up and leave. That was one scary event at the time but I had a solid fake story on what I was doing in the building at the time, and since I had done absolutely no harm (see first paragraph) the janitor was slightly puzzled but didn't seem to care in the slightest that I was in the Chemistry building at 4am. I love my life. Sure it may not be an action-packed thriller movie lifestyle or whatever, which would probably seem entertaining to most of you guys. But my boyfriend makes me happier than I've ever been in my entire life, and it's hard to see life as dull when you're that happy. Personally, I think that if we did have that high-tech or adventurous stuff that you were talking about, then life would still be dull. I mean if you think back decades ago or hundreds of years ago, people would probably look at our lifestyle with all our high tech computers and televisions or whatever, and think that THAT would be exciting. But if we had those thriller lifestyles and lived each day like that, I'm sure the novelty would wear off pretty quickly. And that is a very good point tripsis. : I have actually posted on the same train of thought in the past, I can't believe I didn't relate to that idea before. Thats something to think about, thank you tripsis.
i_love_burritos
Wow, the Trap is back. Yes, my life is dull. Except for the occaisonal outing with friends, maybe once in a month, and a hour or two of TIF in a week, I spend most of my time studying. You are a [freshman/sophomore/junior/senior] ? Anyway, my life is mind-numbingly dull. You know, I'm actually writing my term paper right now. How many hours a night do you study ? The weeks just roll by, and I see the weeked as another 2 days to finish off my paper(s). To me there is no actuall discernable difference between Monday and Friday. Giordano
I try to explore the world around me. My new hobby pretty much (starting this Monday) is to try and go down every street, every alleyway, see as many buildings as possible, and search every forest in my city. I wanted to do something similar to this as a kid. Drive throughout Los Angeles: up the Hollywood Mountains, down the steep hills of Echo Park, the busy intersections of the 5 Freeway...it seemed so awesome as a kid...still is too. ;) "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Lateralus
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me. I don't like Hunter S. Thompson, but I have to agree with him here. Drugs and alcohol are not at all good for you, but they are not boring either. Regular life is unbelievably boring. Literature, art, science, beauty and truth are all fantastic things about being alive, but the fact that most people have to face a 9-5 trudge just to be able to indulge in these things is totally horrifying to me. (That'd be Epic) Yes, we do have a long distance relationship. It sucks, but we make it work. Almost 4 years for a long distance relationship is pretty incredible in my opinion :P Not many people last even a few weeks. I guess one of the pros (maybe the only one :P) is that we spend A LOT of time just talking (on MSN, on the phone, text message, whatever). So we know each other in and out. He does visit though. He's actually staying with me for three weeks in April and coming to my prom   - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Da_Latios
Personally, I take regular holiday trips to the Bahamas where I play poker at the local villa, meet some married chick, get her killed while pursuing her husband, then get into an on-road pursuit in an airport while some badass with asthma throws some guests off his ship. Then I go along and attend a poker game and win with a straight flush on the last hand, get betrayed by an old guy and screw some hot brunette who then dies because of her boyfriend before finding out that she cheated on me, and so I get uber pissed and go on a rampage killing everyone in a badly-made sequel, while also knocking up some old redhead [bleep] who gets pumped with petrolium, and then I do a barrel roll. Boris5000
Whenever I'm bored, I write poetry... I try to explore feelings that I haven't experienced myself, which helps me write some complicated poems needless to say, most of my friends are impressed at how well I can explore an emotion I or them haven't experienced... Although one friend, who isn't poet and has written one poem in his life, says I shouldn't write about these things as I don't know what they are like, (facepalm) Although, I did once wonder what life would be like, if everyone I was conneced to, ceased to exist. AceBeam
Yeah. I'm sad about my life because I'll never get to fire guns at hordes of undead, or take part in lazer fights, or hunting raptors... After playing video games, you start to realize how dull normal life is, and then I feel extremely insignificant knowing I'll never do that stuff... Oh yeah, and I've thought of taking babies and throwing them. BlueLancer
Trapical is like a mirror of me when I was still studying and yet to finish school at like 18-19. Pretty much exactly my sentiments on regular life & why I joined the military at the time. It wasn't just for the money; I couldn't stand working some crappy office job and not moving anywhere all day, being subject to the whims of some lousy mid-level manager and bringing them reports and coffee. (I did quit once something else happened in my life and I got a bit more capital though) Ever since, I really only concentrated on investment. It's definitely not an 'ordinary job', because there are no employees or superiors. You just execute sell/buy orders online. I did create a LLC company for all the stock holdings, but that only has 1 person besides me managing assets, so that's probably unconventional too. I could recommend it once you settle down, it's not that boring, because everything that happens in the real world, affects funds, raw material and stock prices. It keeps your mind sharp and you can even keep a day off if you feel stressed. If it's a slow day you can just post on forums etc. while waiting for something to happen. Kirudaymi
The weekdays of my life all follow the same pattern, get up, go to school, come home, homework bed.. But different things do happen within the days that keep it kind of interesting, I guess. It's the weekends I enjoy though, spending time with friends, shopping etc. Although it'd be nice to have a life like a game character, it isn't gunna happen, so I try and enjoy my life with or without zombie horde.. :D
IGoddessI
Welcome back but I'd have to say no. I enjoy my life because I know I control whether I make millions and become successful or whether to study, whether to work 9-5, whether I choose to take something negatively or positively. I create my own experience and you can too. The world is my playground and it will only be dull if I keep playing on the same apparatuses. Learn something new, if you only study, read and engage in the same activities that you're good at, then you're limiting yourself. If you haven't already, watch "yes man". The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. Lenticular_J
Yeah, that is what we'd need. YES OH GOD YES. I might just become a movie producer simply because of how boring life is. I always imagine my life as a movie. Sometimes, I close my eyes and imagine different camera angles ... Really, though. Sometimes it's hard not to get depressed by the thought that, "This is all there is." That's why I don't really plan on settling, and doing writing for various periodicals and magazines if I ever need cash. Although nowadays, a man can't hot-air balloon across America without getting media attention. Yeah, anyways. I usually try and take the little things positive and be happy, but it's tough. Sometimes you just feel the yearning for more. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
RayOxide
I've found that I've done everything I want to do so far. Getting a job soon might brighten it up, or dull it more. Sumpta
Life can be very dull sometimes, but sometimes that dullness is refreshing. Some periods of my life I'm rushing from one thing to the next, begging for less action. Whenever my life takes a quieter turn, I relish it, until I grow too bored and start spicing things up again. I consider it a natural cycle. At the moment, I'm in a duller period, and I do feel I'm starting to itch for a bit of drama. The sea is way too calm. On the subject of thrills, I think it's important not to grow too blasé. Sure, you've seen it all, you've done it all, but the key is to retain some of that childlike enthusiasm that makes you wonder about, well, everything. I take an immense amount of pleasure from small things I observe every day. There's nothing I like better than sitting on a bench, reading a book or watching people go by, see their interactions, or feel a warm breeze on my cheek, or see a ray of sun hit a wall in a wonderful pattern for just a few seconds, so that only I had the chance to see it, or sing along with a tune the library's carillon is playing on a fine spring day. When I get really restless, I take some road of which I don't know where it leads to in the hopes of getting thoroughly lost or I take the first train to a city I haven't seen before, while fantasising about all the great adventures that might befall me. Meh, it all sounds really stupid, but that's the sort of stuff that can make me really happy.
Returned3
My life is definitely very dull. It's the constant video games and wrestling that keeps it fresh and alive. Sometimes I wish that I can just walk down a corridor with a cool music playing as my entrance, it's so cool to do that. Hell, if my life were the life of wrestling on TV it would be so much more fun and I would gladly go to school. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00 Break the Walls down!
