friends, family, the bus ride to and from school, the changing weather, when it's so cold you can feel the icy wind in your lungs, poetry and books that i can't put down, quotations that make me think, the muggy humid feeling before a storm, discussion, long summer nights just sat in the garden, or on the swing in my garden, my bed, and the feeling when you just wake up, songs that are so happy and upbeat you can't help but smile, random things on the internet, random things in life that catch your attention, the sun on your neck, trees, nature, buildings/scenery that take your breath away..

there's so many to mention, but i'd best shut up now, haha.

I love the family reunions with my mom's side of the family. A perfect warm summer evening, sitting on the deck chatting up a storm while enjoying the weather, while my dad grills us supper. After soaking up the atmosphere and a glorious orange sunset, we'll gather in the living room and continue the joy until it gets dark. Then the younger of us might adventure outside for some exciting nightly games on the farm. Maybe we'll play kick the can, loads of places to hide, especially in the dark. Maybe we'll grab some high-power flashlights and play flashlight tag, there's scores of acres to hide, and dozens of buildings. One of us will get the idea to split into teams, and maybe we won't tell the others about it. After we tire ourselves out, we'll head inside to watch some T.V., talk about the day, then go to bed, eagerly awaiting what excitement awaits us the next day. We might head up to the water park, or something more lazy, such as taking our home-built pontoon up to the lake, taking turns fishing while the rest of us grill. That's the good stuff.

I want to say music, but sometimes I'm really not sure what my dependence on music is like.

Things I know for certain:

Friends

Rugby

Hockey

Any other sports

Streetlight Manifesto

Sports might as well be my life. They really are the only thing I can adamantly say that I love. Streetlight Manifesto has just so much nostalgia and awesome associated with it for me to not love them.

And something I should mention, almost all of my friends I make through sports. I also don't consider TIF as one of these because quite frankly I see it more of as an addiction than a passion

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

Fire. Fire. Fire. I enjoy messing around with it, and I love burning stuff, just to see what happens to it.

Also, anything to do with technology, and of course, annoying the hell out of people.

I sit among friends in the firelight on an especially dark summer night. The dried logs gathered from the nearby pasture crackle and hiss as our fire devours them. We call out to one another louder than usual, reminiscing the past, planning the future. The waves crawl up the sandy shores; attempting to join us by the fire. I tip back my bottle to wash away the salty taste of the sunflower seeds that are being passed around. The cold beer & moist night air work together to send a chill down my spine; only to be replaced by the warmth of the fire. As the night goes on and we feel the effect of our drinks, some of us can't help going for a swim. Once in the cool water the girls are hoisted upon our shoulders like royalty; only to fight like beggars in attempt to knock one another into the water. When the queen of chicken fights is crowned we scramble to the warmth of the fire. One by one we fall asleep, the remaining whispering to one another until they too close their eyes. I know that we will do this again, but can't help but wonder when. When will everyone be free from work? When will the weather agree? All I can do now is patiently endure the winter and wait for the stars to align once more.

This is usually followed by us waking up to music still blaring from the trucks, and trip to town for a big breakfast at one "lucky" restaurant. \'

Sounds a lot like my camp.. Man I can't wait until camping season..

A few things that float my boat is friends, my girlfriend, my family, music, weed, camping, creative writing, sleeping and meeting new people.

Indeed. Controlling that sort of raw, destructive power. Plus it smells nice depending on what you burn. (marshmallows of course being best, alongside paper and certain woods).
