Ok so around 7:30 I started reading 50 pages of this book I have to read called gentle hands by M.E. Kerr and it dragged me in. I'm already halfway and thinking of finishing it. I normally hate reading but for some reason I can't stop can't!

Has anyone read or heard about this book

I started to like reading once I indulged in fanfiction. Oo goody, spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

I should probably start reading some real books instead.

Not as bad as an email a teacher sent us. Who the hell underlines something then sets the colour to blue? :wall:

I do, when I talk about Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves. Which you should all read. Now.

And House of the Scorpion is a good book, but the ending I thought was a bit much.

[hide=Especially with the whole]Shrimp farming and then ancestral homes or something. I forget, I read it about 5 years ago, but that part's like the end of Harry Potter IV. Just a bit much[/hide]

To answer the question, no I have not read Gentle Hands. I have, however, read House of the Scorpion, and it is definitely a book to read.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

I hated reading until I started the Belgariad, Mallorean, and The Shannara series (first two written by the same author). Those got me interested and kept me busy, which I enjoyed very much. I've been reading a lot more. Though, I only like medieval fantasy books with a few exceptions.

I read....

Ender's Game

The Kite Runner

1984

Animal Farm

and other books that schools force you to read.

I really like books that the main character isn't a idiot and trys to understand everything and perdict.

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

Ah, Animal Farm. Ever watch the movie made from it. Terrible. Absolutely terrible...

I think it would be good to educate a class of elementary school kids.
