On the upside they finally said that the egg launcher does not lose you points. I lost so many teams because I would use the egg launcher.

You guys know these cards are much less like those japanese 'Craze' game cards, and much more like top trumps right? Its exactly the same basis as top trumps, but instead of motorbikes, rockets, cars etc, its rs monsters. Seems fine to me, not as if they are charging us for them, just a little bit of fun.

 

 

 

I noticed they only really did that 10 strongest monsters by level only, would have thought the KBD or KQ would easily be top 10.

Now, where are those keys? Ah yes, the keys are left of Mr E Frdrty Wirdy and Mr E Utwrwir Wirdy. What a curious village.

If anyone wants to make their own card..

 

 

 

 

 

 

Copy that into paint.

 

 

 

Find a background(Just rip a wallpaper), copy this into another paint.

 

 

 

Put transparency on and paste the card template on top of the background.

 

 

 

Find a character, crop with white flood tool around it, increase it's size if needed.

 

 

 

Find a small symbol you like and put it in the top right corner.

 

 

 

Put a text in the right bottom corner.

 

 

 

Use the white flood tool on the red.

 

 

 

Crop&upload.

 

 

 

This was with old template, above one will look MUCH better.

I thought the cards weren't that bad. The artwork is sweet. The game itself seems like an advanced version of war.

Anyway, the battlecards are...interesting. Or not. Yeah, let's go with that. They are just not at all important. I guess if you are crazy enough about RS to want to play it where you have no access to technology, go for it, I guess.

Honestly, I think they're good for just having, sort of like having your all-stars from runescape in one collection, except without the bubblegum. All of the nerd, none of the having to pay anything for it.

 

 

 

I had no idea that all of these creatures were known to runescape trading card makers (wizards who live on the coast, I believe) from the time Reldo was a child, though. I mean, even he didn't know about a few of them until recently. On the whole, it's nonsensical!

Yes, its of course showing that there will be a Runescape TCG to come (They just decided to give everyone the strongest 10 cards to screw with lol), and it's been inevitable. (Anyone remember the Jagex Concept art thread? There was a pic of a knight using his shield to block flames, which had the title "Runescape TCG" or along those lines. A few people have that pic as a sig IIRC).

 

 

 

 

 

As for what it will do, thats the question. In TCG terms, it won't end up beating any of the top few TCG's (Anyone who is actually into TCG's will know that it won't beat out the top few- Actually mainly meaning magic.. which has been around [bleep]ing forever...). However if it will take off is the question. Who knows, the art is pretty nice on some, they might be nice to just have (Which alot of people do.. Having them doesn't mean you HAVE to play the game :? )
