Jagex spoonfeeds its players too much.

Over the past years i've been playing rs, i notice how easy it has become to do things. Take the Ge for example, anyone can buy or sell items there. That must have been super hard if no one was selling your stuff before the ge and you had to find a person w/o the ge to buy or sell your items. It's not only that, there making useless updates like the "rest" feature. If they do, then whats the point of a run-restoring familiar or agility besides the shortcuts? Tbh, I think Jagex doesn't need to make useless updates every week that only help p2p players. i think p2p is very well spoonfed. They should focus on getting the ftp players to become members, which they haven't made a good update for them in a while.

If I remember right, the rest option will be like the dream spell, you will have to be standing still and not move when using it. People use terrorbird for eg runecrafting. Saradomin gwd, or doing anything in general that involves alot of running. Rest will never replace familiars.

 

 

 

Also, why would f2p decide to become member if they get updates? That would keep them staying in f2p..

The GE facilitates easy selling and buying. Do you want everything to be slow and annoying? I don't see how easening certain aspects of the game is bad.

 

 

 

And P2P getting a lot of updates? Gosh, I wonder why.

F2p still has 100+ hours of gameplay, I don't think they need an update any time soon. Perhaps in a few months.

I don't think the G.E. is "spoon feeding" anyone. I wouldn't have bothered training half of my skills if I still had to try and sell items by spamming "selling ". I always disliked that aspect and felt that the G.E. was a great improvement. As for the rest feature, I think they're trying to add a new feature that both keeps people entertained and is useful.

 

 

 

Are some things easier than they once were? Yes, of course. Did it weaken the game as a whole? I don't think it did.

I'll have to slightly agree with the OP. Jagex as a company is "supposed" to spoonfeed those that complain. They are always apologizing and fixing things up on a constant basis. If they did not apologize then for some reason they appear to be rude and don't care. Which

They probably want most of the players around the same level for this content so everyone can experience it. So in that case; START TRAINING NOW!

 

 

 

As for the GE? Best mostly used update that came out in 2008. It is just sad to see jerks in certain clans that ruin the price of everything and gain an advantage.

 

 

 

Personally though, Jagex should just stop updating the game for one year and get some well deserved rest. Although what will the employees do then if they are not working? Play some Madden of course! (reference to some interview videos on the web). Or they could still work on content just do not release it yet.

Thank god you're not running Jagex. Giving employees a year off? I hope you're not serious.

Bauke, of course I am not really serious. I realize the implications of giving employees a paid year off (you lose profit). I am just saying they need to take it easy which they are this year with low end content and bug fixes.

 

 

 

I just feel like RuneScape has so much content that there wont be much good ideas left at this rate of pace.

The Grand Exchange was made right after Free Trade was taken away.

 

If they hadn't of given us the GE, a whole lot more people would of left the game. It's not spoon-feeding; it's sealing a gushing leak that would of soon sunk the company.

P2P has about 10 times the amount of content so theres going to be 10 times the amount of bug fixes and tweaks for P2P then there are for F2P.

If Jagex was to give F2P most of the content P2P have why would anyone pay?

 

By giving P2P more and more content theres more and more of a reason to pay.

No, that's called annoying and inconvenient. I would much rather put in an order for an obscure item and wait for it than spend my time playing in Falador World 2 spamming "omg buying ____" for five hundred times its actual price, or constantly bump a thread on the RSOF that gets no replies. The Grand Exchange was brought in because Runescape was one of the only games to still not support one. It's called progress, not spoonfeeding.

You don't have to use these guides if you don't like them, and you can turn off the warnings. The amount of "spoonfeed" is up to you.

 

 

 

Also, things like the GE aren't "spoonfeeding" the player, they're improving the game.

Also, I played RSC back in the day and trust me, nothing was spoon fed then. Now, there's even a Cook-X option, to save yourself from the clicking. While I love RSC, I'd prefer to play this version more.

Been a load of nice little updates I will say, the kind of updates that used to be stuck at the bottom of the updates page, after a big one.. It's like we always had a steady flow of nice updates enough to give you something to do all the time, now they've cut us off, we get these little updates of which I appreciate but they are like 4 hours worth of game play in them..

 

 

 

I'm kinda like a heroin addict when it comes to updates, & to be fair they should have gradually slowed down the updates, you know weaned me off of them, not cut me out cold turkey.. In the last 5 months I've logged onto RS only on an update day done the new event then left.. please I pray for something new that lasts a while... I mean Soul Wars was [cabbage] if I'm honest.. could have been so much better, they should have made the obelisk open for both teams to use at the same time, put a barrier on the aviators door so enemy can fight it with out you killing them, it would have been balanced and fair and would have had loads more aviator kills in a game.. would have given the game much more suspense.

 

 

 

I don't care if an update is f2p or p2p either way I can do it, but where is the quality updates these last few months.. waiting impatiently for a big update with some decent amount of hours before I've finished it..

The only thing we, as F2P, need is an update to Magic. It is much too weak to have much real effect.

 

 

 

And the GE was necessary to combat the trade limit, imposed to keep RWT in check. The rest feature isn't out yet, so just wait and see what it's like first.

About the GE, it just basically lets you AFK buy and sell, before it was extremely easy to find buyers and sellers amongst the many rs fansite forums and later the official RS forums. Items that were hard to sell beforehand are still hard to sell.

Unless you have completed EVERY SINGLE THING in the game then there are plenty of things worth doing. Just because they're not new doesn't mean they can't be used. Content is still available after the first 2 weeks :ohnoes:
